“This isn’t the type of YMCA that I grew up with. It’s clean with either nice or quiet staff. Four lane pool X 25. Most equipment seems to be newer. Haven’t seen a spin class but they do have a separate area for it as well.”

“Sherman has unique experiences good and bad that he is willing to share. Drawing upon the importance of decisions made in life and the results they produced, it impacts people of all ages. His desire to use his notoriety as a professional athlete to influence youth in a positive manner is admirable. His emphasis on the importance of hard work, education, family, making good decisions and giving back is commendable and so needed in today’s society.”

“This is an amazing story of the Holy Spirit's work among young people. Visit their website to see the difference that Light of the Village has made in so many young peoples' lives. Young people becoming amazing leaders. Helping children in this area in all ways. And this doesn't touch the surface for the amount of good being done. Highly recommend you learn about, and then consider supporting this local organization. And as always, prayers for them.”

“Well can't share in something when you didn't share it with your spouse…Not that your spouse hasn’t tried to share things with you, but you know when you don’t act interested it’s a little hard”

“I have to say that this is the BEST social service organization in Mobile County. I'm currently going through some difficult times while my husband is hospitalized. I called this organization and reached Mr. Harry McGadney. He was very understanding and compassionate towards my situation. He definitely made life for me a little less stressful. He made the process easy and fast. But most importantly he understood my desperation. He was also very polite and professional. This is definitely an organization that deserves donations and funding. They really can and do make a difference in our community. If I ever win the lottery, Mobile Community Action will be the 1st place I consider to donate too. Thank You for helping your community !”

“Okay while I must say this was my first time visiting the Habitat for Humanity store, but what I found was low prices! Yes these are donated items that are being resold, but it's no different than Goodwill or Salvation Army except they are NON PROFIT and they help less fortunate people build and make a home with their lower prices and savings much less than retail!”

“Amazing Volunteer Run Rescue for dogs and cats. They do transport of 50+ dogs a month to upstate New York... every dog has been neutered, every dog has all shots and vaccinations, all who needed it were treated for heartworms, many have had to be treated for injuries, illnesses or infections... all have had the benefits of living for at least 2 weeks in a foster home with a family... and every one was rescued from a horrific situation or was in a shelter prior to the tremendous efforts put into their veterinary needs. Additionally a large number of cats are rescued and neutered and nursed to health... and a few dogs are also rehabilitated and given veterinary services so they can be adopted locally, sent to other parts of the country, or put into service dog programs. It's an amazing organization doing an amazing amount of work.”
