Review for Dollar General: Racial Profiling Experience and Recommendation
I am deeply disappointed by my recent experience at Dollar General, where I was subjected to what I believe to be racial profiling by store staff. As a paying customer, I expect to be treated with the same respect and dignity as anyone else. Unfortunately, I was followed, watched closely, and made to feel unwelcome based solely on assumptions and bias—not my behavior.
This experience was not only humiliating but also unacceptable in a store that serves diverse communities. Racial profiling has no place in retail, and I urge Dollar General to take immediate, concrete steps to address this issue.
Everyone that enters your store is not a white American! Do better...

This store is absolutely disgusting. When you walk in, you can tell that the AC is not working properly and the store has a horrible smell. It honestly smells like rotten milk. It's so unorganized and filthy. It's very apparent that there is no real management at this store. Today will be the last time I go into this location. It's worth driving a little further down Snow Road to go to the other Dollar General. It's super clean and well organized

If you are looking for disappointment,this is your store!! This store is so nasty and dirty. Save your time and drive to the store at snow and tanner williams. From what I understand it's a different district manager and boy can you tell. Tanner williams store is so nice, clean, stocked and friendlier employees. Just last week this store closed due to not having cash register receipt paper. Apparently they didn't take that down time without customers to stock or clean. This isn't a new issue. It's been this way for years now and DG does nothing about it. What a shame.

This is the worst Dollar General in Semmes! First off it's so dirty the beach has less dirt! The lighting is depressing and the AC never works! The shelves are always bare and nothing is stocked. I either end up leaving to go down the street to the Tanner Williams store or opening boxes to find what I need myself. The roller carts of stock are always blocking the isles or the boxes are just sitting on the floor. The employee's are sitting on a bucket behind the register playing on their phone every time I go into this store! The manager apparently isn't doing their job very well! This store was also just closed temporarily for a rat infestation and my guess is corporate didnt send anyone down to investigate or they would have closed this store permanently because of the condition it is in! I will no longer set foot in this store unless something is done and i recommended no one else does if they dont want their time wasted!

Need to learn how to take inventory been going to this store for over a year and they never have anything most of the shelves are empty in the store

They need to close down for a few weeks and replace the flooring and reorganize the entire store. This store is a MESS.

Awesome place!!!! Great customer service and care helping with useful information on helping you find what you need easily ? a guy named dj helped me so much and was very kind! Really funny guy! Will be returning to this location!! Very satisfied!
