Thank you Dr. Mark Colicchio for taking such good care of our girl! He was very thorough during her appointment and worked us in on a busy Saturday when she was sick. He was great at explaining what was wrong with our dog. We came back to bring donuts. :)

My friend lost their beloved dog, Sparky, due to medical negligence at this clinic. Sparky had elevated BUN levels and low urine specific gravity, clear signs of poor kidney function, which were overlooked before his anesthesia for a minor teeth cleaning. This neglect led to his kidneys failing under anesthesia. Despite worsening symptoms and frequent visits, the clinic never acknowledged their mistake and continued to charge for treatments that couldn't save Sparky. He died painfully, suffering seizures and incontinence. The clinic's neglect and lack of accountability were devastating. I strongly advise against bringing your pet here, unless you sentence them to death.

We lost a pet here due to the neglect to review proper lab results. Sparky had lab results done before his anesthesia which showed elevated BUN levels which is the amount of urea in blood nitrogen that is a waste product that the kidneys remove from your blood. Having elevated BUN levels means your kidney isn’t functioning properly. Sparky also had another sign of poor kidney function by having low urine specific gravity. Going under anesthesia can decrease cardiac output and blood flow to the kidneys. For a minor teeth cleaning procedure that did not need to be done cost sparky’s life due to the neglect of proper patient education and clinical judgement that is medically obvious that he should not of been put under anesthesia. After Sparky started getting sick he was taken in every other day and was getting worse and worse. The clinic never owned up to their mistake and charged us every time for IVs to help keep him alive. Sparky died in a painful way which is the most heart breaking part of it all. He died having urinary incontinence, falling into his vomit because he could not stand, having seizures. He did not deserve to pass this way and the family did not deserve to be taken advantage of to sign waivers and have ignored lab values while continuing to still be charged due to the malpractice at this center.

The experience at Banfield clinic has been extremely disappointing. My dog was put under anesthesia for teeth cleaning with elevated kidney levels. A medical professional should know that if a dog has elevated kidney levels and is 14 years old should not be put under anesthesia. The kidneys exert waste from the body and my dog was poisoned with the toxins from the anesthesia and his body isn’t able to flush it out properly due to the lack of kidney function. The patient education provided at this clinic is lacking and needs improvement. The clinical judgement used at this center is very sad and they should have known better then to even let my family follow through with that procedure. As a medical professional I am extremely dissatisfied with the care that was provided to my animal here. My dog sparky passed away today on 07-09-2024. This message is to let other animal lovers know this place does not have your best interests and only wants your money. I’m not sure what waivers my family signed but the real concern is why would that minor teeth procedure even be considered an option based on the animals labs and history profile. It’s a terrible thing that has happened and it is very sad my dog had to pass in such a terrible way due to the lack of bare minimum medical judgement.

Didn’t help or take any kind of accountability after procedure ending up getting my pet very sick. After a week of taking him to the vet almost everyday and him being hooked up to an iv, he passed away. Don’t bring your pet here.

If I could rate this place zero stars I would. If you truly care for your pets DO NOT take them here. All they want is your money and your dog will end leaving more sick. My dog was 14 years old and had a great happy life before he was taken here. He would run, play, eat, and drink. My family was recommended to clean his teeth by Banfield, they never mentioned this would result in him passing away. After the anesthesia my dog grew very sick and could not walk, eat, drink, or even go to the bathroom on his own. We continued to take him back to Banfield for help and they did not take accountability for what they did. Instead they tried to milk us of more money and recommend us to a different dog hospital?!? This place truly devastated me and took my dog’s life away from me.

They were honest my pup was very sick & wasn't going to get better veterinarian told me he could put her in hosptial for a couple of days it would be very costly . she's not going to get better she 14 years old & her heart is tired. They all were so caring knew my heart was broke to make that decision. I was in my car when the young lady called me & told me I needed to come by they owed me a refund they didn't have to assist in putting my little gurl to sleep she took her last breath when I walked out. They super caring & consoling. I would recommend PetSmart they're my new veterinarian

I love this pet hospital! The staff is so caring. They gave my kitty the full exam as he swatted , hissed and bit at them. General was a scared camper but happy with the care they offered for his ear mites. Thank you for your consistent empathy and prompt attention to all my fur babies well being.

Brought my rescue pet for a basic evaluation meeting different vets. They were “ok”. Nice enough but I chose a different vet.I called to make him an appointment to get microchipped. His vet is closed on Saturdays and their appointments were booked out a week.It took the receptionist quite some time to find his record. I made his appointment. That afternoon the receptionist called me back to tell me I needed to pick up a tranquilizer before bringing him. I asked why? She said because it was noted that when he was there he bit 3 people. I told her not my dog. She argued with me. I told her my dog is not aggressive and has never bit anyone. She then replied “oh. I had another dog’s records pulled up.”The next day she called to confirm his 10am appointment. I said his appointment is at 2pm. “Oh. I must have mixed that up.”I called his vet. He’s getting his microchip there.
