39 dollars for a 22lb bag of dog food is highway robbery. Having only the most expensive brands of products available, rather than varied options on price to help the customer with other brand choices, is piss poor management. It has seemed that for at least 2 or 3 years now, this DG has gone downhill in store cleanliness, organization, product availability, customer service, management availability, parking lot management. Employee retention is a problem. They can't keep anyone for more than a couple weeks. It's always brand new, undertrained or not trained, incompetence . It is infuriating how much this dollar general has strayed from what dollar general used to be. Now a days you can't find anything, or if you do it's out if date, damaged and fantasticly overpriced. It would seem the Steele dollar general has forgotten that CUSTOMERS are the ONLY reason that store exists.

Dollar General in my town is a good place to go pick up an item, fast with friendly service. But, they change emplyees too often and some bring their familes with them while they work, to roam the store. When Tina & Angela was there this was the best Dollar General EVER imo.

I sent my fiancé to pick up some stuff for the house while I was at work and since he works close to this store he said never again would he be going back to this place he said It’s too crowded and unorganized and you can’t find anything you are looking for and the staff acted just as lost as he was
