“This particular store has come up a long way. The store manager that has been here for almost a year now has really turned things around for the better. The new assistant store manager that’s there now has amazing customer service and is always there to help! If something is not on the shelf when needed, these people will go and find whatever you need, even if it’s in the back. Highly recommend!”
“Out of the MANY DG's I've been to in Athens, this one is on its game! Rarely do I find boxes stacked up all over the place waiting to be unpacked for us to purchase and the cashier was on her game by checking my receipt before I left because I used self-checkout and had several items that were not in a bag, large items, and most importantly to me, I didn't have a single problem using the App! The app saves me lots of money! Once my sister showed me how to use it.... I can't not use it now ??! Good job N. Jefferson!! I literally drive by Three Dollar generals to get to get to yours & one is less than a mile from my house! Kudos to the manager ??? & the employees ???!!”

“THE BEST customer service I’ve ever experienced ! I walked into the store 15 minutes before closing & was greeted immediately & felt so welcome in this store which is rare in a dollar store when most times you’re running in & running out never really paying attention to the workers or them paying much attention to you other than scanning your items so it stood out to me immediately when the DG employee went out of his way to acknowledge me & assure me if I needed help finding anything he would do his best ! I NEVER write reviews online & most reviews you see or hear about are negative ones , we are so quick to bash someone online when something bad happens at a business & want to publicly shame a business for their mistake but very rarely do you see anyone go out of their way to praise a business or their employee when they deserve the credit so that’s exactly what I’m doing now .. MANUEL was the cashier at the store tonight & he’s the kind of human this world needs more of , kindness is an understatement when trying to describe how this man treated me tonight ! Whoever raised that young man done an excellent job cause I just pray my children grow up to be as respectful & kind as he was ! If there’s ever been someone who I felt like deserved employ of the miners (if DG even does that) MANUEL deserves that title for the rest of the year !!”

“Only one person working on a holiday? I feel for the lady working today. She was stressed out, as anyone would be in that position, but she was still pleasant and polite. DG needs to step up and do something to make sure this doesn't happen again. This is how you lose good employees.”
“I worked here from 2013-2016. I loved the store manager because she was amazing. It was difficult to get certain supplies, like the mops for mopping store floor, or for our computers to get fixed since they broke down frequently. It is difficult to keep the place stocked due to lack of hours given to store causing only two employees working at a time with one having to work cash register and stock. Overall, I preferred working for this one compared to ones I would go help at that was closer to home.”
“The cashier was very polite as I walked in & said if I needed any help finding anything just ask. Most of the time at Dollar General, I have not been told that as I walked inside. Being that this particular DG is one I frequently visit, I was able to find everything fairly quickly. I do love to take a quick peak at all of the home decor items that are for year round & seasonal. Sometimes I can find the perfect little addition to a room in my home while I'm there.”

“There is a man named Marvin there that literally went above and beyond!! Not only did he help me with my purchase, but he had such a great, positive, upbeat attitude!!! I have never been treated so kindly!! I walked in rushing and not feeling great and that man turned my hole day around!!!!! He definitely deserves a raise!!!!”

“This is our closest store so we really appreciate the fact that we can drive a few minutes and get most anything we really need. Things are a little bit higher at Dollar General for the name brand items than at WalMart, but you’re paying for the convenience. I’m really glad they recently remodeled and added the small fresh food section of fruits and vegetables also.”
