“I don't write reviews often but over the weekend my family and I were headed back to Texas from our vacation in Florida. We had gotten turned around (I thought I didn't need google maps) and drove almost 200 miles in the wrong direction. We re-routed and got ourselves onto a two lane state highway headed in the right direction but then our car started to sputter out. It was a terrifying moment. It was a blistering southern day and we had three little boys in the car. We puttered our way to the closest AutoZone which was 17 miles away in Thomasville, AL. The good people here were immediately helpful. Jess was calling friends to see if they could help us put the parts in and when that failed Terry stepped in. He was a soft spoken, humble, part time mechanic who was taking a break under the shade tree. He helped us get the new sensor in without asking for a penny. The car started right back up, sounding totally normal and we were able to get home safely. Later, after googling potential issues we found out our car was in limp mode and unable to drive faster then 60 miles an hour but we made it, slow and steady because of the help of our friends in Thomasville. We all often pass an AutoZone probably without thinking twice but now it will always bring back fond memories. We were able to get candy bars and sodas for our boys to snack on while we figured out what was going on. AutoZones are important, the people who work here are important. “Had a 2 month old battery for my truck go bad, they tested it and said the battery was good and asked if I wanted them to charge it, I said yes. Good thing, it needed to be replaced and they did it with no issues. Good experience today.”
