Horrible mail drivers in Troy. They don’t want to get out the vehicle to put packages in the parcels of our office. Lazy workers.

one lady can be kind of rude, which is minor problem compared to the fact that any packages i drop off take MIN. 3-4 days to be processed/marked as in transit… i am not one to leave bad reviews but i’ve been really unhappy with my experience here.

If you have a different last name or from a different background please don’t go here. One older lady in particular will be so hateful towards you if you are different than from her own standards. She continuously made rude passive remarks about my last name and did not seem truly interested in helping me with my problem.Troy in a whole has been very depressing place to stay, but the customer service here is on an another level with the audacity on how she treats customers differently that don’t have Smith or Jones as their last name.I do not recommend this place at all!

I have a horror story with the Troy Alabama Post Office. Tried mailing cards to my daughter using an express mail envelope. It was filled out correctly but the clerk was all bent out of shape that I was paying more for using the express envelope rather than the flat rate one. She said it was $28 for the flat rate envelop and $37 for the Express one. I said I did not care how much it was but she kept going on about it so I went and got the flat rate envelope and an address slip, sat down and filled it out and got back in line. While in line there was a tape dispenser on the table and I used it to seal the envelope since they frequently tear open before reaching destination. This time the lady said in a loud rude voice that I used the wring tape (express instead of priority) and the address slip was also had the same issue. I told her that was the only tape available and there were non priority address slips available either but she would not listen. She could have easily covered the tape with the correct tape and. marked thru "express" on the slip but I guess their minds don't think that way. Instead I am told I would have to do it again. I looked at the line and decided I had enough. There is a UPS store across the street so I left the Post Office and went there. Walking in the UPS Store I felt like the entire atmosphere changed. Instead of a long line of frustrated customers being service by two slow moving grumpy postal workers I was greeted by an empty line and three smiling professional workers ready to help me. I explained what I just went thru and the were attentive and not once did they interrupt me or speak in a rode and condescending way. I wound up with a cost of $40.02 and the clerk dug two pennies out of a drawer, making it an even $40. Its scheduled to be delivered in 3 days and I have much more confidence it will be delivered and on time than I would have with the post office. That makes the additional $12 worth every penny! In fact I will never use the post office again.

Don’t really understand the point of business hours when the business isn’t open during the listed hours. Left work early to get a package out and arrived 30 minutes before closing time and the office was already closed.

I swear the staff is so rude. Its not the short sweet lady. Its the one that looks like a man. She talks to people like they are slow. Doesn't let them finish what they are saying. She doesn't like to go check for mail. If you have a question or problem don't go to her because she will force you to tell her off I promise. I think its time for her to retire or something. She is the reason alot of my co workers friends and family go to the UPS store instead. Plus the mail carrier are lazy won't even leave the mail at address stamp on envelopes bc they assume nobody lives at residence I've lost alot mail, missed appointments etc bc my grass wasn't cut one time and they saw me on the porch and still rode by with my mail.

Horrible. The lady named Jane is very unprofessional and has a bad attitude. I simply went to pick up packages from there. This ordeal turned into about 20-30 minutes of her telling me they were not there when she didn’t look. FINALLY, she went again and came back with package and a stack of mail she said I did NOT have. Don’t waste your time with her.

I’m highly upset I’m missing packages and mail. I work hard for my money and don’t expect my things to be missing. And I know it’s the mail service because in the picture below those are pictures of mailboxes open with someone’s personal mail in there…multiple boxes openn

If I could give 0 stars I would. This post office lost my engagement ring. A custom, quite expensive, engagement ring, which I was assured would not only be expedited but also insured. If you are shipping anything of any value, or need something to you in any kind of specific time frame just go ahead and go with UPS and Fedex, at least they don't lose your insured valuables and then tell you they hope they find it but there's no guarantee. I guess at the very least the staff has been apologetic and the mail lady that runs our route is super nice, but beyond that I cannot even fathom the dysfunction and chaos these people must work in.
