I paid for expedited shipping on a package and a week later the package had not arrived at its location so I searched the tracking number and a label was never created for the package, not able to get in contact with the store via phone number because its just an automated system

I use the services of the three post offices in my general area. Trussville is my main PO, MOODY AND LEEDS as needed. The postal staff at each of these facilities could not be more helpful, professional and always friendly. People that bad mouth the USPS either dont actually interact with the employees or they just have an issue that should be easily resolved. I could not do without my USPS Offices and the employees located at each.

this is absolutely pathetic. if mail runs on saturday and sunday, the office should be open to the public on both of those days. i have a package that is now 3 days late due to USPS’s incompetence, and this facility deserves a 1 star review for not being available to the public 9-5 seven days a week. these are government jobs and these people get better insurance than all of us, and you’re telling me they can’t staff the building from 9-5 every day? if my package is delivered from the birmingham sorting facility on sunday before the mail truck can get it, i will not get it until monday. that is ridiculous.

Pretty rough place. Closed for absolutely no reason at times. Staff is rude and act like there doing you a favor. Especially when I was new to everything. If you work for the government a your job is to deal with public constantly you would think you would want to serve people and be nice about it. It’s bad days for these people everyday it seems like.

I’m not particularly found of the woman up front who proceeded to explain to me about some guy who got arrested for abusing media mail.
First of all, it’s not my business that anyone got arrested, but my experience with her was just her blaming me for something I didn’t do. If you ask me what I’m mailing and I say VHS tapes I would assume it’s in your training to know I can ship VHS through media. It doesn’t have to be educational, because it’s media. For her to me 1000 questions about what I’m shipping and tell me about “a guy” that got arrested felt like I was being treated like a criminal.
Mercari (the online shop) automatically chooses the shipping for me when I post an item, VHS tapes are to be sold and shipped as media.
If this is an issue with the USPS then I would assume that would be between usps and Mercari.
Not for me to walk in and be lectured.
My husband also experienced this with the same lady and was rather irritated in the same way I am.
I just want to ship my mail- if you want to open my mail and see that I’m being honest then open it.
If media mail is such a problem for you guys to have to treat people differently over a 1$ difference then just get rid of it all together.

This is a delayed review! I'm new to the metro area. The customer service here was ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ in every way. The facility was clean. The clerks were courteous, professional and pleasant. This one is worth the drive. My go to for all of my postal needs! Happy Holidays!

2 hours away... no I'll pay the 70 bucks for shipping! A week later, then have no idea where my package is. Plenty of garbage reviews, I'll just throw mine on the pile here. Accountability...nah!

I dropped a package off at this location on a Tues. that needed to be at it's destination by the following Fri. The clerk scanned it and said it should be there the next day since I was using Priority mail. Fast forward to Thurs. and not only has the package not arrived, it was sent to Huntsville to process when it should have been sent to B'ham. I had to pay an additional small amount to reroute to the delivery destination when it wasn't my fault. I won't ship with Trussville again.
