Sent my niece and her teenage daughter in an electric car that they are very unfamiliar with. They have to drive over 400 miles home so this means they stop and charge at least two times !!!!???what would have taken about 8 hours is now taking 12 plus !!! Unacceptable!!! Btw they wanted gasoline fueled vehicle but were told none available !!! Unbelievable !!

Horrible experience. I made an appointment with Budget, but tried to call the day of to make sure they had my car in stock. I couldn’t get in contact with them after calling ALL DAY. The corporate manager couldn’t get in contact either so fortunately he refunded me.

I rented a suv (Grand Jeep Cherokee) on 4/7/23. The vehicle had a nasty Smokey smell, one headlight not working and the right front part of the door handle was missing. This company need to do better with checking and cleaning their vehicles. Very dissatisfied with the rental?

DO NOT RESERVE A VEHICLE WITH THEM! Paid for my rental in full online with a debit card get to the place for Janice (rude btw) to tell us we have to use a credit card on file to hold 250...explained we don't have a credit card can we just use the debit card to hold the 250..she said no and there was nothing she could do...my other family members who also rented with them has the same issues...but she let them do a credit check to rent the vehicle we did not get that option..but we did get a full refund

I rented a van in June. In July, I rented a SUV. Made online reservations. Both experiences were great. Great prices. The associates were friendly. Both times, they had the vehicles that I needed. My only complaint would be that the vehicles could be a little cleaner… vacuumed better, whipped down. The SUV smelled like someone had smoked it in. I just sprayed it down with Febreeze. Other than that, my experiences were great.

Do not go here if you are looking for a LUXURY CAR. We booked 2 weeks prior and was told that it would be a CHRYSLER 300, but when we went to pick it up the lady at the desk said that they NEVER have LUXURY CARS, and she don’t know why it’s even an option. I wish we would’ve known before the day of pick up. DO NOT GO HERE!!!

This place is terribly run, no one answers the phone or returns calls. Also watch the hours of operation , they took my reservation and were closed when my flight arrived. Called many times left messages no call back . Never Use Budget car rental !!!!

Terrible business. I made a reservation online and planned to pay at check-out. Before booking I called and asked how much the deposit would be--$200. This amount plus the rental price were on my card and ready to be used. I walked, oh, 7 miles or so in the Alabama heat of the noonday glare to Budget, ready to pick up my rental. The attendant ran my card and I was denied service. I was already exhausted, sweat soaked, blisters on my feet and didn't want to pay out the spleen for an Uber, so I tried hitchhiking back home. Then the local pigs scooped me up and took me to jail. True story.

Made reservations a month ago. Get to the pick up and am told they need to see my credit card. I let them know that I payed in full for the reservation online with my debit card. She tells me we don't do debit cards only credit. It brakes my heart in two as I am to drive home and see family and know have to find a van for my family of 7. I will never do business with this company as they are also charging me 150 because I had to cancel as they could not help me. If you do not have a credit card do not pick this location or company it will be a waist of time.

I prepaid for a rental ahead of time on the website, called the day before to confirm that everything was good to go, had someone drive me 3 hours to pick my PREPAID and CONFIRMED rental up only to be told when I arrived there were no cars available and prepaying online is just a “request”. Ummm, they didn’t REQUEST for me to pay, they took that money out of my account IMMEDIATELY and I should have been able to arrive and pick my car up JUST as easily. Waited in their lobby area for hours trying to figure out what I was going to do seeing as to how I was 3 hours from home. Finally a car hauler arrives with cars on it. Long story short- clerk tried to charge an additional $400 on top of the $269 I’d prepaid for a one day rental, I have set strict safety measures on my credit card for my financial protection therefor the credit card company immediately denied the purchase and contacted me. I ensured the card company that it was a legitimate charge by me so they set to approve the transaction and then the clerk at Budget informed me that she couldn’t run my card again for 24 hours due to Budget’s policies. Used my debit card to rent the car, was so informed there would be a $319 charge and $150 would be returned after I returned the car. Car was returned on time, clean, and full of gas- it was checked in in perfect condition. In the 4 days after the original rental date I had OVER $3,000 in fees of different amounts STOLEN from my account from Budget. After fighting with them and contacting the Better Business Bureau for over a week, Budget FINALLY returned everything except $497 to my account. This didn’t make things right, the normal everyday use of my card has caused NUMEROUS overdraft fees that I now have to cover because BUDGET STOLE FROM ME. Y’all PLEASE don’t rent from this place, a one day rental can seriously financially RUIN you, it did me.
