I'm visiting Tuscaloosa for my daughter's wedding and due to state law I was not able to fill my pain meds. I have been in the meat business for 40 years and my body has been abused and I have retired at 60. I have arthritis throughout my body with the most in my neck. I have to have my hip replaced after I get home to Michigan. So I had to have my doctor send a new prescription and unfortunately I had it sent to the CVS pharmacy on 15th st. I called prior to leaving for the pharmacy and gave them my good Rx information and was told they were working on it. I went there and gave the pharmacist my information and was told she would not fill the prescription because it was from Michigan. I asked if it was some kind legal issue ( I had checked it out and it was perfectly legal) I was told the reason was it's not a good idea to fill the prescription from out of state. Well I called my doctor's customer service representative as the office was closed for the weekend and explained the issue and she told me that she was unable to communicate with my doctor on the weekend. But offered to call the pharmacy and see if she can help me understand why I have to go to my daughter's wedding in severe pain,by the way I'm in it and I will be standing a lot. First call she was hung up on, she called back and she doesn't get a reason why they are not filling my prescription. She called me back as I was waiting to go into the restaurant for my daughter's rehearsal dinner and gave me the bad news and said unfortunately they are probably going to flag my prescription. I decided to call the CVS pharmacy not far from the 15th st location and they said they don't know why they didn't fill it and if my doctor could send them the prescription they would fill it. I called CVS corporate customer service and they said it was because it was flagged by the system and the issue was my address was incorrect. That's funny I never got to show my identification information and I said I would be happy to show my identification and social security card to the pharmacy and the pharmacist at 15th Street location was not filling my prescription. I believe the reason was that I was the wrong color in a black ran pharmacy. I will be taking the time to get to the bottom of this with CVS corporate, but I'm going to have to go to the wedding in pain because of CVS can't employ quality non discriminating employees that have customer service experience.

Always a great place to get prescriptions filled and to buy several other products.

Went to pick up a prescription only to have to wait 20 minutes then when I get home and open the bag notice they didn't include anything to measure the liquid medication with. When I called I waited again another 12 minutes to speak with someone. The young woman who picked up the phone obviously meant to grab a different line and started to tell me information about another patient when I interrupted her to explain I was not this patient and needed a syringe to measure out my toddlers medication she told me I could take my complaints somewhere else. Good advice as I won't be going there again.

Incredibly helpful and kind employees. I had locked my keys in my car and they were gracious in helping me on a really bad day. Thanks again!

I feel like this store is one of very few that still maintain the atmosphere of your friendly neighborhood pharmacy. The pharmacist takes the time to get to know you and your family. I am welcomed each time with a sincere, warm, greeting from he and his staff each time I arrive. They remember personal details about me in order to provide me with more comprehensive service. When I was prescribed a new medication, he remember I had a baby recently and made sure to ask if I was breastfeeding before dispensing it. Although occasionally I have to wait a little longer in line than perhaps other pharmacies, the personalized service and sincerely caring attitude of the staff more than makes up for it. I would not take my families pharmacy needs to anyone but them.

Did not like this CVS location AT ALL! The only reason why I rated it 2 stars was because there were items in there, but besides that it was extremely ghetto compared to the CVS pharmacy is the area.

I called this pharmacy to ask if they had a medicine that I was having a hard time finding. They were the most inconsiderate people I've came in contact with in a while! They would just put the phone down without even saying "hold on" and after holding for 5-10 mins they would just hang up on me! This was no accident cause they did it twice back to back! The third time I called n told them how ridiculous they were and then I hung up! These people had me shaking! Very unprofessional!
