I went to buy some electrical wire and of course it's all locked up but I only needed about 10 feet but could not get any help. I pushed the help button and even had an employee call for help over the intercom and after waiting for about 30 minutes. I decided to leave and get it elsewhere. Customer service is a thing of the past.

Didn't have anything I was looking for or needed. Prices are too high and I waited in lighting for 30 minutes after asking 3 employees to help me find help. Rude girl said she would not return my product for another while I was not sure when I purchased it if it would be the right fit for my remodeling project. She said read da sign@ so I did and it said w/o receipt at managers discretion..so, I said call the manager like it says, she ignored me and I said who is the manager and she laughed..he finally came cause someone called him..he approved the return, however, he allowed her to be blaintantly disrespectful due to whatever reason?? Anyway, I needed all new appliances and was shopping around, because of her and the way she was allowed to treat me and make me feel I bought them all from Home Depot in Tuscaloosa and received excellent customer service, very knowledgeable, trained, well educated associates. Invest a little more money in training your associates Home Depot Tuscaloosa and remember the customer is always right, period!! As a former retail associate and manager...I was appalled and where I come from, you would have been fired on the spot or repremended asap and maybe, if you were an excellent devoted employee, you might get a chance to receive further customer service training. Also, don't stereotype, remember you have no idea who you could be helping that day. I was taught if you can do something to help make another's day a little better or easier...do it!! Thank you, 6

I've been going to Lowe's for paint, lumber, electrical/plumbing supplies the past 25+ years. I'm in the construction field and do work in multiple fields. Basically I wear a lot of hats!The last few years I've noticed a decline in all their departments. Not just at the Tuscaloosa AL location. I've tried other locations and have had similar experiences/results.My most recent bad experience is Lowe's, not having the paint in stock I needed. Tried other Lowe's locations with same results. An employee at the Tuscaloosa AL Lowe's directed me to check out a paint store called PPG. So I checked them out and happy I did. I now have a new paint supplier I'll start going to. If you go to the PPG paint store in Tuscaloosa AL, ask for an employee by the name of Sandra. She really knows her stuff and is extremely helpful!The second bad experience I had at the Tuscaloosa AL Lowe's was in the lumber department. I put in a good sized online order, the day before. I was notified the next day it was ready for pickup. Drove 30 minutes to find my order was not ready. I actually watched an employee go around the store and get the wood I ordered. Waited an hour for my order to be completed since there were other customers ahead of me. If I knew that was going to happen I would have just come to the store and did it myself.

When I first got in the store, the employees acted as if they didn't understand or didn't know what to do. A male employee in the kitchen sink department was called, and he knew what to do and was able to help me.

4 years ago this was a great store but now it's about the worse. The last 3 or 4 times I ben in there nobody would help at all. I waited over a hour last night for someone to help me.i sked for help at least 5 times . So I filled a shopping cart all the way up with smaller random stuff and told them they might not help me as a costumer but someone will be doing some work cause they could put that stuff up and left them with it I will never go back again I will start shopping at home Depot and cancel my card at Lowe's . I think most all of them in Lowe's voted for Joe Biden because they all to sorry to work

The amount of confusion over a simple 16 piece lumber order in a multi billion dollar company is beyond me. Ordered at 10:20 am. Said be ready in 3 hours. I gave it 4 hours and the associate said oh the “picker guy “ gets off a 12 every day?? So ok, I will go get it myself, well they only have 11 and inventory says 58. Ok, so can I go pick up at another store?? No was the answer. Drove 58 miles for nothing

Update: Since 2023, our Lowes experience has fallen tremendously. Upon walking in yesterday (12-26-2023) the parking lot looked absolutely filthy; the amount of trash in the parking appeared as if someone empty the trash bins on the ground. We were there to purchase 30/6ft shiplap boards whose sign said above "Get 15% off for purchases of more than 10 boards". We get to the register at the Lumber side and the lady behind the register had no clue what we were talking about. My wife took it upon herself to provide a video and picture of the sign (Mind you this the store's responsibility to confirm this not ours).A manager was called but never showed up, TWICE!! Another lady (assuming) with more experience refused to honor what their sign said. Big side note, before we arrived we were going to go ahead and just order it online, the subtotal reflected the 15% discount, but i insisted we pick out our own boards as ive seen how "store employees" are not as picky as the customer(s) choosing. I simply told them, we will just leave. Never have I had a more disappointing visit of any store much less Lowes. We will never return to this store, if we ever go to another Lowes again. They need to do a better job of training personal and treating customers fairly.

If I could give a Zero rating I would. I purchased a washer and dryer a month ago, paid in full. Was told a delivery date, it never came. Waited until the next “delivery date” and it still did not come. Received another expected delivery date that more than likely won’t be seen either. Never again. 0 out of 10, definitely do not recommend. It would be easier and quicker if you handmade your own washer and dryer apparently!

If I could rate 0 stars I would, I went in store to order a washer earlier this month and the expected delivery date was supposed to be yesterday the 12th , turns out they delivered it to the wrong house. I’ve called several times and each time they give me the run around finally I got an answer saying that they “can’t find it” how is that even possible.. won’t be shopping here again.

The Lowes in Tuscaloosa is awful. No employees will help you at all. Whoever manages the Northport Lowes needs to come train these people. I drive past this one and go way out of my way to the one in Northport now.
