Words cannot even begin to describe how terrible this Massage Envy is. From management that will cancel your appointment five minutes prior to the start time, to therapists who walk out mid service because of a “headache” this massage envy is an embarrassment. Not to mention, It is ABSOLUTELY filthy, I cannot even begin to describe the number of roaches I witnessed, both dead and alive!Their management treats both their members and their employees like pure garbage. It’s frankly embarrassing that as a client you’re welcomed to the store by therapists who are complaining about their upper management, informing their clients about their other jobs, and encouraging clients to find a membership elsewhere. If I were to state all of my gripes and issues with this store I would be writing for hours. The only redeeming qualities about this store are the free mints and two of the front desk workers Savie and Mary. Both of them, clearly stressed from their work environment but attempting to hide that, do anything in their power to help guests. If not for them, I wish this store would be shut down!

I enjoyed my massage by Tameika! She took the time to discuss my aches and pains and explain what she was going to do to help alleviate those problem areas. I definitely recommend her and Massage Envy for your go to massage and wellness facility!

Tamekia is an excellent massage therapist. The best I’ve had in Tuscaloosa.

Had a great time. Massage was wonderful and left me very relaxed and had a great conversation while getting the massage

If I were basing this just on two of the employees and no other employees or the management, it would be a 5/5. However, after a couple of years of coming here while home (I'm military), the last time I came, they had scheduled me for the massage therapist I prefer then switched me last minute to someone who was not great. To top this off, when I went to check out, I had to pay a premium since they don't honor my military discount (never had to do this before). So, now that I have a lot of credits saved from being gone, I can't use them near my home or I have to pay an additional $15 every time, which if getting a massage a week would mean that I get a $45-60/month penalty for being military. Too bad, too. I had tried to change my membership to the Tuscaloosa location before my last set of orders and they messed up the paperwork or they would have honored the rate I had when joining in 2019. Instead, I'll likely cancel my membership as soon as I use up my credits in another location that won't penalize me for getting a military discount. The manager said she would talk to the owners and let me know something but still charged me and showed no compassion; since this was SEP 22, I think it's safe to assume the owners told her not to call me back and that they will not honor my military discount.

Tamekia did an incredible job with my massage. She asked about any issues I was having and tailored my massage to target those problem areas. She was extremely communicative throughout the entire process and listened to my feedback to ensure that I was comfortable. She gave me clear instructions for aftercare and made sure that I was feeling great when I left. Gillian at the front desk was also wonderful. She helped me with purchasing a gift card and setting up my membership. Every visit to Massage Envy in Tuscaloosa has been great and I cannot recommend their services and staff enough!

I may be a little biased because I’ve only had one masseuse since starting my membership. I have yet to be disappointed. I love how even when I have had a bad case of reflux, Jim was accommodating. This is my one form of self care that I will not go back on. If you haven’t been, please go. The entire experience from check in to waiting in the tranquility room will exceed your expectations.

Did you know they can change how long a 60 minute facial lasts? Yeah, try maybe 35 mins. I got there for an 11 o’clock facial, answered questions on a iPad, and then went to the restroom. When I came out the lady was waiting on me in the other waiting area. She told me which room to go to, and then asked me the same questions from the iPad. I was then told me to take my shirt off, and that she would give me some privacy to do it. Then, we started. I mentioned something about the facial not being 60 mins to the girl up front. I was told it was over so quick, because sometimes they finish it early…glad I used a gift voucher and didn’t have to pay. I went for a 60 min facial, it’s literally written on the voucher. How about don’t rush through it please?? It was 11:47 when I started to put my shirt back on and looked at the clock. She had already left the room. Also, when she was focusing on the top of my shoulders it was very painful- but that’s my fault I should’ve said something- but I did pull up and away from her when she was doing it. I’m actually very sore now..not to mention her nails scratched me every time she rubbed above my lip. It was such a bummer though, everything else about the facial was nice. They acted completely annoyed with me, especially since the voucher was good for a 60 min facial… but only covered $55? I was told it was a really old card, but yet it had 2022 printed on it. Apparently they increased their facials from $55 to $80, not that long ago. The girl from the side office was like I need to call someone to help fix it and walked away. I was just left standing there with the girl up front, when I finally asked if I could go. I don’t understand, I wasn’t rude by any means. Im just so disappointed, I will not be back.

Jim is hands down the best massage therapist I’ve ever been to. He can feel the area and know what needs work. I’ve always felt very comfortable with him. He is a true professional that knows his trade. He puts just enough pressure but is also gentle. I’m so glad I found him. -Amber

Very bad neck and back issues. James really used firm pressure , found my major pain spots and alleviated or broke up my knots and pain . Honestly the best massage I have gotten . Very knowledgeable about his craft . Very happy about massage , even though I’m about 2 hours away I’ll be making appointments to come back .

I had a hip pointer that never went away for 6-9 months and after Ansley? Worked on my troubled spot, it’s GONE! Thank you. After my second massage Svc with Ansley, she is the best ever.

Very relaxing and very professional. My therapist was great! I'm going through chemo and have had a double mastectomy and port placement. She was very attentive and sought ways to make me more comfortable. I will be going back! Thanks Tamekia.

Helene is great. You can tell she really knows what she’s doing and tailors the massage to specific needs. Not just a cookie cutter experience. I live with severe back and hip pain and she has helped to significantly lessen the pain I experience on a daily basis.
