It’s fine for one night but didn’t think I had to specify nonsmoking anymore. The smell of smoke was really bad. We persevered through it. Everything sold out because of the ball game. Also. No plug by the bed for a

I want anyone to know that books a stay here. If you don't request a non smoking room, they will charge you an additional $15 per night to get a non smoking room. Customer service is becoming a thing of the past. I would think that they would charge extra for a smoking room. It is just the opposite here. They are not friendly people at the Travel Lodge or maybe they just don't like my race of people. I would not recommend this place.

Don't judge a book by it's cover, nice rooms very clean and pet friendly. Managers were very nice and accommodating. We will be staying there again for our next SEC game. Thanks you again for your courtesy and frienly service.

This place is a total scam. Would give 0 stars if I could. They use 3rd party sites to mix policies and refuse refunds. Along with that, the rooms are disgusting. There was a blood type stain on the mirror and lamp shade, the molding in the tub was falling into said yellow tub, and the bathroom fan was exposed with no cover. Front desk tried showing me another room and it was the exact same mess. There were also non guests on the property under the influence of something and begging people for money. They would not process a refund, we left and let them steal our money rather than sleep in filth. Images below. DO NOT STAY HERE.

Location: You can't beat the location. They're right off I20/59 and McFarland Blvd in Tuscaloosa. They're about 4 miles from the University of Alabama and Stillman College. The upkeep is absent. Getting into the hotel is confusing and full of potholes. The main office is on the backside of the entrance.Service and Rooms: I gave them 2 stars simply because the front desk attendee at check-in was courteous and patient. I waited for a bit because she was attempting to service another customer. I was in town getting my son settled into the UA. It was a long day and night. I wanted a shower and a good night's sleep. I was given a room on the 2nd floor. I'm not a fan of outward entry rooms (motels) but at this point..it wasn't going to stop me from sleeping. I got into the room and was confused. They took the time to remove the carpets but the most disgusting and unsightly thing were the chairs. That's the first thing you see. I ate my food on the edge of one of the beds. I am now fed and ready to shower. I made my way over to the sink and I had an associate greet me as he crawled out of the drain?. I'm not high maintenance at all and many are probably wondering why I didn't leave after that. To give you an idea of how tired I was, I went to the rental agency the day before and got a minivan. We packed my son's belongings into the van and rested for a few hours. We left Temple TX around 9 that evening. Because I had surgery a few months ago, I have to stop every two hours for pain and stiffness. We made it to Tuscaloosa around 9 on the 19th. We picked up some pre-orders from my aunt's home and went to campus. I was back-and-forth from campus and other places all day. By the time midnight hit...I was spent. I just wanted a good night's sleep.Around 5am...the smoke detector started doing its thing to let me know that the battery was dead. Great. Guess what the front desk does not have.. yup... batteries. She put in a maintenance request. I gave her the noise maker and went back to my room. The next night I was awakened by ants in my bed. I got up, packed my stuff and put it in the van. I asked the front desk attendee for a refund and he told me that it was because I was eating in the bed. I asked him what other choice did I have??? I was frustrated. The final straw that broke the back was him refusing to provide his name. I've since then made a complaint with their Corporate as well as the State of Alabama Health Department which oversees the Hospitality industry. I'd advise others to do the same. Also...go elsewhere for a simple night's sleep.Nearby activities: It's located off I20 and near several eateries

You get what you pay for, for sure. Which is basically a bed and a shower. They may be 'pet friendly' but there is no where to safely walk your dog on the property. The closest place is a grass field behind the hotel. The parking lot is dangerous to dogs. I was constantly having to grab things out of her mouth she kept trying to pick up. There were pill bottles, a syringe top, and various bones all over the parking lot. And the first thing she did in the room was grab something off the floor that was behind the door. The bedding was clean and the shower was hot. Those are the only positives to my stay here. I haven't even gotten my $50 deposit, what a joke, back on my card yet, 3 days later. Guess I'll be calling Wyndham about that... wouldn't recommend this location, especially if you have pets, and won't stay here again. Which is something I usually never say. ???♀️

Owner and owner wife is extremely unpleasant. A few rooms have been remodeled but a majority are not. Place looks run down, no landscaping, dirty common areas, room along the interstate need major overhaul. Noise from interstate keeps you up all night. Nice less expensive properties in the area. Do not stay here unless you want to be verbally abused by their front desk and owners

No breakfast, parking is terrible. Coming into the hotel you are going to hit at least one of the craters in lot/street. Staff was not friendly. Not only to me even considering she made an error that could of been avoided and caused me to have to load up and leave after working all night and already being there for 3 days. had to call Wyndham to get refunded and change hotels. The lady was very unprofessional not just to me but having an attitude with everyone that came across her. It was 11:30 and she really hammered a poor guy who was almost packed up and was being respectful she charged him for that 30 minutes late check out as well. Anyway I could keep going on about the lack of professionalism I noticed however to sum it up. I travel over 8/12 months a year and will say one of my worst experiences.

This was the most disgusting hotel I've ever stayed at! There was mold growing other bedding (see photos) blood on the sheets and curtains. Mold and other substances on furniture and in drawers. They should be ashamed to charge the prices they do ($80 plus) for this drug den.*UPDATED with 4 stars for service*Manager contacted me and refunded me a fair amount for my stay.

Room I stayed in wasn't renovated. Upon entering the room the freezer in the refrigerator couldn't shut properly due ice. Puddle of water on floor. Light bulbs burnt out. Broken toilet seat. Liben on bed had brown and blood stains. Sink had no defuser causing water to go everywhere. Floor dirty. Wifi was weak. TV would freeze. Interstate next to the hotel has no barrier between the hotel and interstate heard every semi truck going by. Did try to report via room phone but it didn't work. Went to front desk clerk was checking guest in and didn't even acknowledge my presence. They don't advertise a fifty deposit is due at check in. Don't pay with cash because they will claim you damaged their property and keep your deposit. Area is shady. Rude women at front desk. Doesn't know the meaning of Hospitality.

I travel a lot and I have to say this is by far one of my fave places to stay. Wish I could have stayed longer to enjoy the pool. Staff was friendly and our room was immaculate. Very nice accomodations and extremely affordable. We will b back.

I’m aligned with all the other 1 star reviews, the theme is very consistent for this terrible dump of a MOTEL. My experience aligns with everything you will see in the 1 star posts including, staff extremely rude, unclean rooms, stains on sheets, mold on bed/furniture, bugs, false advertising, constant construction, cigarette smell, trash everywhere, shady business practices (thievery actually), false advertising, unethical owner, poor communication from owner. Do yourself a favor and pick ANY place in town except this place. If it is a crowded weekend (football or graduation etc), consider driving a bit further to get something nicer. They do not deserve Windham brand – Windham won’t even back them up because it is privately owned by a thief.

DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!!!We had to enter hotel from strip mall parking lot. The entrance has pot holes and rough pavement, parking lot had trash scattered all over. The room was so dirty you could not walk around without shoes or socks or the bottom of your feet would be black from lack of cleaning. Door into bathroom was dirty. Flooring (LVP) was broke and coming up in so many places, had to be careful how you walked in the room as to not get your foot cut. The telephone did not work in the room. Only had two towel’s for three people when I asked for more towels we were told the hospitality would bring them later, after we all needed to have showers. The 1 star rating I gave is far above what this hotel deserves!! WYNDHAM SHOULD BE EMBARRASSED TO HAVE THIS HOTEL AS A PART OF THEIR COMPANY!!

10 hour ordeal on graduation weekend... manager is shady, and extremely unhelpful. I have never met a hotel manager who is such a sneak, liar, and downright offensive. Booked through a 3rd party last June for 3x2 rooms at $60 per night during graduation weekend. Manager claimed he "never received" the reservation. After having him directly contacted by the 3rd party site with me present, he claimed he couldn't book the 3 rooms, (King non smoking) because there weren't any available, but could find 3 others. I went to lunch with family. Upon return, he booked one room... but not 3. (But he could work with the 3rd party to book 2 more... but they may not be King/ Non-smoking)Fine... went to my son's college graduation. As I entered the ceremony, he called... said the 3rd party wouldn't approve payment, and I'd have to work it out upon my return. After the ceremony, I returned to find he charged 3 times the price that I originally booked for each room, and demanded cash (almost $900) for the last 2 rooms (because the 3rd party wouldn't approve additional payment.) He also charged $427 to my card for the 1 rooms 2 nights. I cancelled the room, called my credit card company to cancel payment, and stayed at another hotel. On my way out, another gues asked if "They had lost my reservation?" Apparently they lost his as well... and charged him the rack rate for 3 rooms x 2 nights. In addition, according to him, "The rooms are dirty... pretty gross... I wish I had stayed somewhere else."Hands down the worst service I have ever experienced, with a hotel manager who is a sneaky, shady human being who apparently rounds a gross hotel where he takes advantage of guests.
