I hope I spell her name correctly, but Kylie(she wears glasses & is brunette)is an absolute doll and one of the main reasons we will be back. She just was so attentive and exudes joy! I hope this establishment realizes what a sweet soul they have working there. The second reason we will be back is the food! It was made fresh and absolutely phenomenal!

Some dishes are good, but we've learned to limit our selections to pizza, burgers, or wings. I tried the Halawakee Ckicken Sandwich once - might as well have been eating cardboard. Other than the teens that do a great job of busing tables, there isn't much in the way of service. You order and pay at the one main register when you walk in, then find yourself a seat. If there's a line running out the door and down the sidewalk, don't expect them to do anything to speed things up. You're in for a long wait. Occasionally, they will take some orders at the bar register, which helps some.
Parking: Parking depends on day and time. Friday or Saturday after 6 - you may or may not find a spot.
Wheelchair accessibility: If you find a parking spot in the immediate lot, you're good to go. If you have to settle for roadside or the lot across the street, getting in may be difficult.

I'm not sure if the burger was so good cause we were starving from a day on the lake or if they're always that good but I'm looking forward to my lake day to try em out again!

Food is pretty solid and the service is very good even when there's a large crowd. Homemade ranch is great, sides are good, fish is good, hushpuppies are good, fried green tomatoes are good. Tartar sauce might be the best ive ever tried. The cocktail sauce tastes weird, something off about it. Probably my only critique of the food.
The guy that manages the marina gas station is a grade A superdouche, he's the only one that doesn't pass the vibe check for this location.

We love this place. Never disappoints. The food is great. The service is amazing. Family owned business is amazing. I had pizza today, it was delish! Great place. Recommend this place.
Kid-friendliness: Everyone is so amazing. They recognize us even though it's been a bit since we've been there. First time trying pizza, very delish. This place never disappoints.

First time here and definitely not our last. Wonderful courteous staff are very considerate of their service. Customers were very satisfied with the atmosphere and food. Liked the entrance ordering to ease the wait, which did not take long. Enjoyed the grilled grouper basket ?. Look forward to future outings here to order more from their menu. Thank you for your business, Backwaters. ?
Parking: Handicap is our manner, and we were fortunate to get one at the front door entrance.
Kid-friendliness: Families with children of all ages were abundant everywhere, and the scene was nice to enjoy good times.

Food was good and the service was even better. There are some other lake restaurants in the area that could use them as a standard for how a restaurant should be run. We will definitely be back and try something different. Great place and good music too!

Great place, enjoyable atmosphere and staff and good food.
Parking: Has both dock boat parking and car parking. Both can fill up but parking is about even with restaurant capacity. I've never had to turn away because I couldn't find a place to park.

My husband and I took our kids here for the first time about 6 weeks ago. It's not your typical restaurant service type where a waiter comes to your table to get your order. You order from a counter as soon as you get there and then a server brings your food out to you when it is ready. It made everything go a lot faster and smoother. The bar only had beer and wine, no liquor. I had the grouper sandwich and it was delicious! My husband got the shrimp po boy and liked it, despite them being a little heavy with the sauce. We really liked the friendly and upbeat vibe of this place! After we ate, we took a stroll around the dock and looked at the boats and lake. We will definitely eat here again!

Even though it is often crowded, they take my order and have the food ready quickly. I especially like the thin crust pizza.
