They diagnosed my car with precision, explained in full detail what was wrong and what it would take to fix it. They got me in and out in a timely fashion and to my surprise, theythey washed my car when they were done. Nobody treats a Volvo better than Royal.

My wife and I purchased a new XC60 suv from Allen Cook and had a great experience. Allen was very good about returning calls and following up and was very patient when we were deciding on which car we wanted.Overall positive experience and would recommend.

Everyone at Volvo in Birmingham was very helpful when I had car trouble after the service shop had closed. We had driven 2 hours away and had to leave it for a few days to be serviced. The sales department gave us a brand new 2024 Volvo XC90 to use for a few days. They went above and beyond for us!

I bought a 2019 Volvo with 33,000 miles from another dealer and took it this dealership for a service. And they started saying it had brake issues and I let them replace them. I got the bill and it was $800 for a service, tire rotation, and break pads. Well when I left it had issues with vibration and handling I took it back to them and they stated it is possible the tires that didn’t have an issue before. So they rotated tires back and the issue remained and one of the tires were low on air. I called and talked to the service guy and he said the wold have to check the tires ,rims, and alignment for additional fees of course. Needless to say I won’t be going back and wouldn’t recommend them to anyone who doesn’t want to get ripped off.

Just purchased a car through this dealership and the staff (Richard and John) were incredible. They were knowledgeable, courteous, and professional. I've never experienced a quicker or more concise buying experience. Paperwork was completed in less than 30 mins and we were out the door with our new car.

I made an appointment to meet with Brett last Friday since I was very interested in the new electric C40 Recharge. When I arrived at the time of my appointment (4:00 PM), Brett was "gasing up a truck" but would be back shortly. Another salesman, Allen got the key to the car and took us out to look at it. When Brett got back, he said a college buddy of his showed up and wanted to buy a used truck so he was going to have to pass us off to Allen. Allen was fairly knowledgeable about the C40 and let me take it on a test drive. After the test drive, I liked the car and was readt to make a deal. We were trading in a leased vehicle so Allen had the appraiser check it out so he could quote a trade in price. While we waited for that, I decided that if the numbers are right, I was going to lease the C40 that afternoon. However, that was not to happen.After Allen came back with the offer for my trade in, he told me there was no sales manager there to draw up an offer but he would have one email me as soon as possible. So, I went home without having made a deal. I got the email Saturday morning a little before 10:00 AM and the numbers were nothing close to what the Volvo website estimated the payments. I replied and let Allen know we'd be putting a down payment instead, and his reply was still nearly $100 higher than the website estimated. I asked if that was the best he could do and he simply said that was the best he could do since Volvo had no incentives...and that was it, no other offers, no other options.As a result of this lack of interest from the dealership, I began looking at other options. Later that day, after some research and speaking with an amazing saleswoman, I ordered a Tesla.If Volvo of Vestavia Hills had shown a little more regard, I'd have never had the need to look at other options and puchase an electric car from another dealership...

They are rude, unhelpful and condescending. I will drive to HSV or Atlanta to have my car serviced. I had asked for help fixing my 2021 Volvo. They said they needed to contact the manufacturer and they'd call me. They didn't. A week later I followed up, but the manager was out and they'd call me. I waited a few more days and the same rude man said didn't get you my voicemail. There was no voicemail left. Expensive nice car but find a different dealer and service center.

I normally get my car serviced at Royal VW. A couple of weeks ago I came in for an oil change. At that time I was told I had a timing belt issue. I scheduled an appointment at the front desk for 6-29-2022 to take care of that issue. When I scheduled this appointment NO ONE told me the job would take 12hrs OR parts had to be ordered. It was a few weeks before this actual appointment and again NO ONE told me the job would take 12hrs or parts needed to be ordered. I drove over an hour for my appointment and waited for over an hour ONLY to be told they didn't have parts and that the job would take a couple of days. Now I have to drive back over an hour with a loud raggedy car. I'm not sure if I'll be on the side of the road or not. The desk attendant who handled my service showed no remorse or sympathy for my wasted time and gas. I was told I would have to pre order parts and wait till they arrive. Why not tell me this in advance. I would not have driven the already raggedy car there. I purposely parked and did not drive my car for weeks just to be sent back home. I just pray I make it home.

I didn’t buy my vehicle from this specific dealership, but I will say that they were very friendly and efficient. I was able to come in earlier than my appointment time (I live an hour away and arrived early). Call in advance if at all possibly because they were over a week booked out. Very clean and nice place, although the waiting area/lobby is the size of a cubicle.
