What you wish for in a mechanic. Honest, fair, and full of integrity. Took my wife's car here for some new headlights and a 100,000 mile tune up. All of Keith's recommendations were appropriate and... best of all... the fairest price I could find. I'd pay double for the quality of work and quality of people that worked on her car. I'll be back with my truck, and that is the greatest compliment I could give them! Look no further, take your car here for peace of mind that it'll get taken care of correctly AND quickly! Of note: they are operating out of a shop in Trussville right now with address - 7315 Gadsden Hwy

On the way through Birmingham from Nashville, I experienced a piece of my car falling off. I pulled off and happened to come to this establishment. I was nervous about how much time this would cost me not to mention how expensive it would be. I was back on the road in ten minutes and I won’t post the cost but I was literally shocked at how reasonable the charge was. Can’t thank the staff enough.

Absolutely the best!! My grandson is a student in Birmingham and had some issues with his older model Jeep. Mike at Vestavia Auto Service made absolutely sure he would not be stranded on the side of the road. The Jeep had issues beyond the initial diagnosis, but Mike stayed with it and was able to get things fixed and get him back on the road. I am confident all issues were addressed and am thankful to know of a mechanic of this caliber while my grandson is 700 miles away at college. I had read about Honesty and Integrity in previous reviews, and that is what convinced me to have the Jeep taken there. I can attest that Mike is an honest mechanic with integrity. He couldn't have been in business as long as he has without that honesty.Thank you Mike and Vestavia Auto Service for your help.

I took my '65 Chevrolet C10 in for a new carburator. I expected to spend in the neighborhood of $500 to $700. Instead, these guys adjusted my timing and carburator and charged me less than $60. They just earned a lifelong customer and a great referral source. Good work. Honest ethic. Great people!

Mike and his team are honest as the day is long, totally transparent and fair, and excellent mechanics. At this point my entire extended family has had at least 15+ vehicles in and out of his shop. We will continue to do so and we won't go anywhere else - the Owen Family.

This is the most honest mechanic you will find in the Birmingham area. The prices for parts and labor are always fair and lower than other shops in the area. They may not be the fastest, but a few hours of wait time is more than worth it. They have repeatedly talked me out of unnecessary repairs and will never upsell you on things you don't need to do. Seriously...this place is like no other auto shop I've ever known.

Was disappointed in the service here. I do not post much, but thought I would here. I had brought my car in with issues and paid for repair of the universal joints after their diagnosis. After their repair, I had a severe roaring noise driving on the interstate. I then brought it back to them and was told the noise was due to shocks and struts and tie rods and the total cost to repair was 1700.00!!. Granted, this was after I had taken this car, which I just purchased used, to them and had them evaluate it and was none of this was ever mentioned. I did question the owner about what seemed to be a high price on the repairs and was told " I have insurance and overhead and what not, and that's why the price". Thanks to the internet, I realized this was not even close to the right price. The labor quote was double time recommended and the parts were about 200.00 higher than the best ones you can buy, not to mention around 200-300 bucks from somewhere I am still unsure of. I bought shocks, and struts front and back on-line, and had pep boys replace them for about 250.00, total cost 450.00 and the tie rod ends were indeed fine. Despite all that, the roar continued and I then called the owner of Vestavia auto about this. He then preceded to basically tell me he didn't appreciate me inquiring about the cost and basically telling him that it was too much, and "he has never ripped anyone off and our business was done", so perhaps I was somewhat to blame for seeking an explanation on the costs. I have since taken it to someone who actually looked, drove the car and diagnosed the problem. The universal joints that were replaced were loose, and the drive shaft was faulty and unbalanced. Apparently this was the issue the whole time and now it runs and drives like it is brand new. Just know what you are getting into. Do some research and check the price on parts and estimated time to repair. Be knowledgeable about repairs etc.. If not people can take you to the cleaners and still not fix the issues.

I had a great experience at Vestavia Auto! They were very hospitable and honest. Keith gave me great advice and he was very knowledgeable about my older Honda Civic. I had a great experience and will definitely go back!
