It took an hour to get our appetizer and an hour and a half to get our meal. The waitress was super nice about it, but we didn’t get any refills on drinks the whole time and we were late to our next stop. So if you have nothing but time, then this is a good place for you

The food is good for the most part. I've had something that was over salted and the steak portions are usually good, but I have been given a very small steak a couple visits ago. Cocktails are nice, and it seems that they make a good atte pt at stocking good beer selections.

Had the privilege to dine here with friends and family in June 2022. A lovely, cozy place on a VERY warm Southern evening. And it was a great way to discover some proper Southern cuisine! Love from Italy!

Absolutely delicious. The food was amazing. All the staff we interacted with were super friendly & courteous. Love the way the dining room is set up for a great atmosphere. Highly recommend the Fig & Wasp cocktail (with a 2 oz pour) & the Blue Crab Cakes. It's worth the trip for those two alone.Dietary restrictions: There are signs posted in multiple places stating that they are more than happy to accommodate any dietary restrictions, as long as they are told in advance.Parking: Street parking along Patrick St left & right of the restaurant, as well as a small parking lot directly in front of the restaurant.

Been here twice. Both times exceeded my expectations. Everything we have tried has been done to perfection. The Waverly Local has captured a perfect blend of gourmet southen food with a casual atmosphere in a quaint southern town. This is my new favorite.

i have been here several times now- once for dinner and several other times for brunch. i have never had a bad experience. the food is absolutely exceptional and worth every penny, especially the brunch buffet. our servers have always been great too. i will be back!

Crab cakes were under cooked. Was very loud inside. Took 15 minutes to be greeted on what looked to be not very busy night. Over priced for the product. If you are near the area, I would make the trip into opelika for Zazus. Better quality all around

We had reservations for the Waverly and went away feeling somewhat disappointed. We weren't all too excited to be seated outside on such a cold night when I would've expected to be seated inside due to having a reservation. We also felt that the service left much to be desired as far as attentiveness. The pork rinds were so good and the Yellowhammer cocktail was absolutely delicious. I felt that the chili was a little over-salted and my husband wasn't overly impressed with the ravioli. Overall, we were glad to try it but not dying to return.

Wow. What a great discovery. Just up the road from Auburn and keeping with the eclectic feel of small town Waverly. The setting is fun and welcoming. When we drove up it was evident the restaurant is not a secret. Good thing we had reservations. The Staff is very welcoming and friendly. Our waiter was attentive but didn't rush us. We told her we were there to take our time and relax which she responded. The food and presentation were fabulous. I had the blue crab cakes and my wife the pork both were delicious. We will be back.

My wife and I have been to many amazing restaurants, this place is easily in our top 3. As far as service goes, no one even comes close. In a word, the Local is Amazing!
