About Bibb County Lake
Bibb County Lake is a favorite fishing spot in central Alabama, filled with bream, catfish, crappie, and bass. It is considered one of the best places for bass and crappie, with bass reported up to eleven pounds. The lake allows both bank fishing and fishing from rented boats, with outboards permitted at idle speed only. There is plenty of room for bank or fly fishing. The onsite bait shop is well-stocked, selling minnows, crickets, several types of worms, rods, bait, tackle, drinks, snacks, and ice. The owners and staff are described as kind, helpful, friendly, and nice. The facility is clean and wheelchair accessible, featuring pavilions with grills and tables available for rent. The rental equipment is ready to go, and clean bathrooms are available. It is a perfect place for a family day out or for a couple wanting to fish. Fishing tournaments are held here. A daily permit is required, and all creel limits are strictly enforced, with all fish weighed upon departure. A valid fishing license is also required.
