September 2025 by Veronica Maxwell
I called in my prescription yesterday the 3rd of September. The recording stated my meds would be ready around 2:15pm the same day. I chose to pick up my meds today the 4th of September while enroute to work. Lo and behold get there around 11:25am to get meds(keep in mind) I’m outta my meds….got to the window and meds not ready!!!! I told them I get headaches if I don’t take my meds!!! I asked to talk with the manager of the pharmacy or store, the pharmacist herself comes to the window was says I’m the pharmacist can I help you? I should’ve said no get my meds ready. I asked for the manager again, she said it’ll be a min. I, waited until the manager Ashley came to the window. Still no meds!!! Ashley, heard me out but still no results!!! She wanted me drive back around and stated meds would be ready. But there was a line on each side 3-4 cars per side. I feel in my heart had I been a different race and older Ashley/the pharmacy staff would’ve allowed me wait right where I was knowing they dropped the ball on getting my meds ready!!!! EVERY SINGLE TIME I GO THERE MY MEDS IS NEVER READY!!!! It’s ALWAYS AN ISSUE THERE!!! So, that let’s me know it’s too much of other things than filling Pts prescriptions. I shouldn’t have to move my prescription to Montgomery knowing there’s a Walgreens in the city where I reside. The Walgreens in Wetumpka on Wilson Street is on its last leg with me!!! The District Manager or somebody other than Ashley needs to monitor the pharmacy closer to make sure meds are being filled in a timely manner!!! I’m very disappointed in this location and keep in mind I still have NO meds!!! I suffer with a headache all night because of that too. Just another place of business that doesn’t care.

One week ago today, I asked them to transfer a prescription. Monday I checked on the prescription that was not filled. They blamed it on Adams Drugs. I called Adams. I know the people in Adams. I was told Walgreens had not called them and Was put on hold and then disconnected. It’s actually Walgreens that does the disconnecting because I’ve been on hold. She came on there and told me they’d be right with me and then disconnected me.. I still do not have the prescription and have been without insulin for one week now. I needed good RX is the only reason I switched because of the medication being $171 The pharmacist is laughable If it hurt a life in depth situation for people

They constantly lie about when prescriptions will be ready! I was told an hour on two prescriptions. Not even entered in computer and one not even in stock! Right now I have a car full of perishable groceries and a 30 minute drive home and have to wait about 20 minutes for the one that is in stock. I could have killed more time if they were truthful 😡😡😡. Very unprofessional and this happens every month.

For awhile it seemed the attitudes were taking over Walgreens in my town, things have turned around and gotten better. Thanks to the young lady Skylar for doing a great job.

I’ve always had a good experience at the Wetumpka Walgreens. The employees are helpful if I need help finding a product. The store is clean and well-organized.

More than one time I have been given another persons medication. . The resolution, bring it back and we will fix it. That’s not the point. Do better. Some elderly person might get the wrong meds and not notice till it was too late. Do better !!

I have never been mad to fell like I was a incontinent for needing help with something as I was tonight. The very last thing that I would have wanted to be doing was getting copies of pictures of my dad and dog but on easter Sunday I was told that my dad and my kids dog died in a house fire and I was told that it wasn't her problem and that I'm I was going to need help with making copies of pictures then I need to come up there in the morning time so that there was more people there that could help me that she had to much to do and the cashier had to stay up front. Maybe if she wasn't working around on her phone the both times I was in there she could do her job more. You know that maybe you should invest in more people like lowes in Wetumpka have very nice and very caring people and really try and do what ever they can to help there customers no matter what.

Seems that the pharmacy employees can have attitude problems with certain people.

Worst dang place ever. Drive 30 min from tallassee alabama to Wetumpka just to get meds on a Monday, and when you arrive at this place, they are closed at 120 in the afternoon because "the pharmacist wanted a break" like standing behind a counter is so hard. My aunt is one for cvs and they don't close for her lunch. Sorry excuse of a place. 10/10 would NOT recommend.

Pharmacy is no good. Had a reaction to a blood pressure medicine and just tried calling to see what can be done for relief and was hung up on 6 times. 5 they just picked up the phone and hung up and 1 the girl answered but hung up when I asked the question.

Jamie in photography was very helpful in custom-cutting some photographs I had made there. The photographs were also printed out very quickly after I completed the order online. Great experience!

Dealing with their rude staff that do not care to make an error on their part right. Went in to pick up 3 meds for my mother’s nerve pain. Went straight home and opened the bags. Only received 2/3. We called and they stated they’d check the cameras. They called back not even 2 mins later and stated that there were two medications in one bag and one in the other. That is false. There was one in each bag. When I told them to look around they said they did and there was nothing they could do and to call her doctor to get another prescription. How is that ok?

My son had a 105 temp and diagnosed with the flu and a prescription was sent. Almost 2 hours later, Walgreens said they "just sent it in." I called the doctor and they had sent it the moment we left. So first they lied. Then I was told go back around the drive thru again because it would take 20 minutes. When I went through again, they said they were completely out of his prescription and told me they could give him the generic that would cost me $180 because Medicaid wouldn't cover it. Told me to go around again. So I did. It wasn't ready, so I went inside. As I approached the counter, I was told to hang on, AGAIN. Finally a woman approached with the original prescription that they supposedly didn't have! I WILL be changing my pharmacy. That was the last time I deal with liars!
