It is a great little shop with way more to choose from than expected, providing everything from cross-country skiing and surfboard rentals to a specialized camping package for bear viewing. The owners are extremely helpful, friendly, very polite, and very down to earth. They talk to you like you've been friends all your lives, creating a welcoming atmosphere where you feel like a person. They offer great deals on gear and helpful services like waxing boards. They are patient and careful, ensuring you get the right fit and know how to use your equipment. The business also facilitates consignment sales and trades, allowing the use of store credit. As a great new business on the lower Kenai Peninsula, they are highly recommended for gearing up for great Alaskan adventures without the hassle of bringing your own equipment from out of state.

Great little shop. Had way more to choose from than I was expecting. The owner was very helpful with a newbie to cross country skiing. Helped me get outfitted for less than $200--for everything. Highly recommend.

Awesome experience with Old Sterling Outfitters. The only place in Homer we could find to rent surfboards. Extremely helpful and friendly owners.
