After miserable experiences with dealerships, my experience with A&A was a dream. They were great about communicating with me and they returned my car to me in tip top shape in record time.

Took my truck in to have the power steering repaired and to take advantage of their 40$ first time customer oil change and inspection. The truck was a new (used) purchase and had some lights on the dash, so I figured a free inspection would include having the codes run. Ended up paying 40$ for the oil change and an additional 90$ for the “diagnostic for the power steering” with no additional report about the lights on the dash or any other issues. Power steering was a rack and pinion, quoted at 2300$ or so. Decided to pay for the repair, got the truck back 3 weeks later and drove it home and immediately noticed problems with the power steering. Called them to let them know, was told I would get a call back, and never did. Got busy with work and pursued it a month later, took the truck back and the new rack and pinion had “failed”. Was offered a free replacement under “warranty”. Again got busy with work and missed several phone calls, thinking that my truck must be ready because why else call me when the truck is being repaired for free. Come to find out my timing belt is gone and needs to be replaced for 2100$. How convenient. Take the truck in for a 40$ inspection, no one checks the timing. Take it in for a total front end repair costing 2300$? No one checks the timing. Take it in to correct their own mistake? Suddenly slapped with 2100$ in additional work that no one noticed before having to work for free.I have heard similar stories from friends that were lifelong customers. The office staff are very friendly and well trained. I think Kevin, and April are awesome people, but whoever the techs are in the shop are either scamming people or are just really bad at their jobs.

This is an excellent Subaru repair place. The service is always friendly and my vehicle has been running strong with them. I drive frequently throughout the state and rely on my vehicle to be safe & reliable at all times. I will continue using them in the future unless they significantly change.

Over-all the experience was good. The second Subaru we've owned at taken to The Shop. We had the rear brake pads replaced. The rotors were also replaces which I question if was necessary as there was only 40K miles on the car?

Had a power window get stuck down on a Friday night. It was cold, very snowy and we had a 400 mile drive to get home on Sunday morning. Called several shops around Anchorage to find a shop that could at least get the window back up for us to no avail. Kevin fit us into a busy schedule, had a tech sort things out and had us ready to go in less than 30 minutes. Great shop, fantastic sense of humor and first rate service. I can't recommend these guys highly enough!

I brought the car in for winterization under a quote of 800-900 dollars. They surprised me that my vehicle required the removal of the turbo that brought the overall price to 1,800 dollars. I brought my Subaru to A&A under the presumption that they were familiar with my Subaru WRX and would be transparent and reasonable. After some negotiation on this surprise we met on the price of 1,200 dollars. The customer service was great and they do good work despite the going above budget I would use A&A’s services again on my Subaru or Toyota.

I always take my Subaru to these guys for regular maintenance. They are great. Friendly staff and I don’t feel like they are trying to gouge me like the dealership.

I went here because they are certified to work on Subarus and it’s where someone told me to go. I will always go here from now on! The last time I went for an oil change, to fix a tire and get a check up as my check engine light popped on, they saved me ≈$1,500! I needed a new thermal control valve and I had no clue if my vehicle was still under power train warranty. They told me it was worth finding out as the repair would be covered under warranty. They gave me the phone number and all my vehicle info that I would need so I could call. Sure enough, the vehicle was still under warranty. This meant I needed to take my vehicle directly to the Subaru dealer to get the repair done. But they didn’t have to tell me that the repair could possibly be covered under warranty. They could have just told me the repair would be $1,500.I really appreciated their honesty and help!
