Thr past 2x times I've tried to ise AAA for a tow they failed. I was left stranded in both instances. Both experiences, AAA took so long to tell me they couldn't complete the tow, I was left after normal business horus and had to return the next day. There is no point in their services. I can call a tow company myself to be told NO.Unacceptable lack of service considering my membership is prepaid annually so they got their emd of the bargain. I will be asking for a refund and cancellation of 30+ years of business.

Clean new office near a few eateries. There was no lines and I was assisted no sooner than I walked thru the door. In and out in under 15 minutes.

If you break down in the Mat-Su Borough, AAA is worse than useless. They only contract with ONE provider (Elite Towing) in the Mat-Su and despite Elite's website claiming 24/7 service, they discontinued that months ago and only work during the daytime hours -- no night service and no holidays. Here as been my experience the past three years with AAA:1. flat tire in Willow two years ago: they had NO service provider in the Mat-Su at that time and had to send somebody from Healy; it was a six hour wait (fortunately it was in the summer.2. jump start last winter: they refused to send somebody out because there "was snow on the road" and cited a winter weather advisory two days earlier. Schools were open and business back to normal the day that I called.3. Thanksgiving 2023: truck shut down due to electrical failure on mile 77 of the Parks. I was told I'd be towed in an hour. An hour later, I was told it would be three hours. Two hours after that, I was told I wouldn't get towed until FRIDAY morning. It was at freezing and I had no heat in the truck and was not near a warm place (about a five mile walk on icy roads as there was no sidewalks). Turns out, they ONLY have Elite as their provider and they work limited hours. None of the other companies will work for the lower 48 rates they offer and AAA won't pay the going rate up here. My husband called for a private tow and while AAA said they'd reimburse, they said it may take a month. I'm a senior; the tow was 25% of my monthly social security check.Even worse, when I told them that it was at freezing, I was not near anyplace warm, I was a senior and couldn't walk five miles to the nearest warm place, I was told that "it is your choice to live in Alaska" and if you think you are going to freeze, you can call 911. Really, this is what I pay membership dues for?Save your money if you travel through the Mat-SU for the tow you might need. AAA certainly is not going to be of any help.

I super appreciate that I can get a complimentary license plate when I pay the vehicle's registration for a recently purchased vehicle from an auction, that didn't come with a license plate. Can't get that service at DMV.

I want to start off with I dont have AAA, but after what I witnessed this past weekend, I am definitely going to sign up.On Saturday evening, on our way home, we saw an older gentleman having car issues. We pulled over to help, and it seemed like we got the car going, but at the next light, his car stopped working and overheating again. Another vehicle stopped and helped us push the vehicle into a close parking lot. At that time, the older gentleman didn't feel comfortable driving his car and said he needed to try and get money trasfered to him to get his vehicle towed home. The other couple that stopped to help was an AAA member, and better yet, she was an AAA employee named Marge. She didn't hesitate at all to grab her wallet and call AAA and use her benefits to help this poor gentleman get his car home, and then they actually offered to drive the man home after his vehicle was picked up.

I have used this location multiple times for DMV services and I always feel welcomed and leave with a positive feeling about my experience. You can actually use their DMV services even if you're not a AAA member for a small fee and it's easier than UMV in my opinion. Jakob has helped me twice now and he is extremely professional, helpful and knowledgeable.
