Conveniently located in downtown, Convenient hours. Higher prices than many other cleaners, but they are fast. I was surprised when a mix of 25 different shirts/pants was done next day. I figured that's what the higher cost was for, and was happy to pay it.However I've used them a few times in the last 8 weeks (or there about), and the first time I got my bundle back one of my shirts had a burn mark on it. I was told they could fix it. The second bundle I got back, the burned shirt wasn't fixed, and they entire load had a mildew smell to it. And this last bundle , a different shirt had odd pink and yellow splashed stains on the collar and upper shoulder, and the cuff was ripped. No one mentioned to me my clothes had been damaged. My previous cleaners, I had been going to for years and I had never had a single incident. I will not be returning to Alaska Cleaners. If you need a shirt or suit cleaned quickly, they'll definitely get it done but it may end up being damaged. Use at your own risk.

Was recommended this particular dry cleaner for my wedding dress by my seamstress. I was surprised to see such negative reviews, but trusted my seamstress who deals with wedding dress on a regular basis. Super easy drop off and pick up process. Friendly service. Super happy with my dress! My only negative is the website says they open at 7:30am but they open at 9am.

I have received horrible service and I have tried to get in touch with a manager many times, with no success, to resolve these issues. I have left my number with the girl at the counter three times now with no call back.I brought my wedding gown in to be cleaned and preserved. They threw away or lost my custom, heirloom "Bride" hanger. They only cleaned my wedding gown because I was not checked in for the preservation option. After picking up the dress, I waited to talk to the manager for nearly thirty minutes. I was told to check the back of the dress form form for the hanger and if I didn't find it he would "make it right". Haven't been able to get ahold of him since. Left my number three times. Even went down there after calling. I was told "he will be here when you get here". Nope. This runaround is ridiculous, and I can't believe that they would throw away a customers property.

I have been taking my clothes to Alaska Cleaners for years. I started when they had a location on Huffman then they closed that location and started using the Fireweed location, then they closed that location and took my clothes to their downtown location. They had one employee that was always friendly, knew the customers names and went above and beyond to create an amazing experience, they moved her to their Don Dee location and I followed. Everything was great until..... who knows what and she left. Two weeks later someone realized how valuable she was to the company and she came back. Shortly after that she was gone again.... since her departure, the level of service is horrible!! Every Sunday I drop off my clothes at the Don Dee location and pick up clothes from the prior week. I went to Don Dee yesterday, July 18, 2021 to pick up and drop off clothes. The young lady there informed me that the "driver" did not bring my clothes from their downtown location. I asked why due to the email notifications the I received stating my clothes and comforter was ready to be picked up. She has no answer, picked up her phone looked at it, put it down and walked away from the counter and started folding clothes; however I was still standing at the counter waiting for some sort of resolution. I informed her that I was leaving in the morning and needed some of the items in my order. She stated she didn't know what I wanted her to do, I asked her to call a manager or one of the owners, that's the least she could do seeing that my barrage cleaning is $50-60 a week...she did nothing!! After standing at the counter for a minute or two, it became very clear that she was done and moved on to something else. I gathered my Alaska Cleaners drop off bag and left. I realize that they too may be struggling with finding employees, however, if that is the case maybe one of the owners should be helping and educate their employees that it is the repeat customer that sustain the business!! After doing business with the cleaner, I will be finding a business who not only care about their customers, but has people working in their business that does not treat the customers like they are doing the customers a favor! If it was not for customers, the employees would not have a job! And the $@?! continues....I called the downtown location to speak to a manager/supervisor or anyone who can FIX the problem; however when I asked to speak to someone, the young lady who answered the phone was not very cooperative. First she said she was the person who runs the front counter so I clarified if she was a manager or supervisor, she finally said no and I proceeded to explain that I did not want to have to keep repeating the concerns which is why I asked for a supervisor. During the call I recognized her voice and asked was she the young lady from Don Dees yesterday, she said, "yes." I proceeded with.. you are the person I have the complaint with, which is even more the reason I would like to speak to a supervisor......conversation didn't go well and to make a long story short, why would an owner of a business not reach out to their customer and only speak to the individual who was working at Don Dees to ensure they are getting all the information? I guess Alaska Cleaners is just overflowing with business that they don't care if they lose a customer here or there!! Then to make matters worse, I wore a sweater vest that they cleaned and I had only worn once, they snagged it!

I went to the Wasilla location and dropped off a few items to get dry cleaned and it was sent to Anchorage location to get dry cleaned and nothing was torn when l dropped off my items. And when I picked up my items I noticed that one of my items which was a mens suit coat worth $400 was torn on the sleeve and also the inside lining of the coat. And I didn't tear it or anything. Then I noticed it was burned. I want my money back. Not only did they do that to my stuff but also to a friend's items too. It's not the Wasilla location fault its the Anchorage location fault for doing it. I WANT MY MONEY BACK for all that trouble. I'm gonna go to the Wasilla location and see if there is anything that they can do about it if not I'm gonna go to the Anchorage location. Have a good day.

Decent dry cleaning service. Not the best though. Also, the alterations department was good the two times I used them. I ripped the pocket on my pants and brought them to Alaska Cleaner to fix. I got them back to find out that they used blue thread on black pants. The second time I brought my coat that needed hemming. Pockets and sleeves were unthreading. Took a month for them to fix and the repairs lasted only a month.
