After changing to Global, Alaska USA has lost a lot of their charm. Sad to see

Terrible financial institution. I travel overseas for vacation and can not access my account. What kind of financial institution blocks their members from accessing their funds while out of the country? What a joke! Do better global/AK usa!

As I entered through the Home Loan doors on North end of bank I was greeted by Katisa! Her smile in the am hours would have carried a five star review. She went the distance and said hello and offered me a coffee! As I returned from teller assisting me she had a cup ready having asked how I take it, cream or sugar?!I express d having an interview and she wrote a note of encouragement. Smiling! This is really a 10 star experience, thank you for your kindness Katisa. The staff within the bank beyond her counter was very efficient.

I miss Alaska USA. Global Credit Union has poor customer service, snooty phone representatives, and I can bank anywhere else so thanks but no thanks.

Double charges and no customer service unless you count being left on hold for hours.....

Some online features are gone! That's a source of contention for me. Add a pending transaction field!!!!! And atleast change the name to Global Alaskan!! It was here in Alaska that this bank was birthed, Not Global!!!

Excellent customer service. Short waiting time and the cashier understood my request for a cashier's check. Purchased a check to pay a bill.

Horrible customer service. When I first called to make a foreign wire transfer I was told I could do it on the phone and told what information I would need. Next day I called back and was told I couldn't do it on the phone and that I would need to get in to a branch by 12:30. Arrive at 11:50 and since they only have 1 person working I don't get seen until 12:05 and I'm told they can't do foreign wire transfers after 12:00 but that they can do it on the phone. They print me out the "Consumer Foreign Wire Transfer" fact sheet which states I can only to them between 6:30am and 12:00pm but that I can do it on the phone. Call the next day at 9:00am and I'm told I can't do them on the phone but that I can go in to a branch when they open at 10:00am. Head in to the Dimond branch again at 11:00am and spend an hour and 15 minutes to be told that I need to email the branch I'm trying to send to and get their instructions on how to wire the money because they can't figure out how to do it. I head home and email the branch in Canada, and 15 minutes later have an email back with the instructions. I email Alaska USA right after that asking if I need any other information so I don't have to make another trip and spend another day gather information, that was 7 days ago and still don't have a response. I decide the next day I will go in at 10:00am to the Fred Meyer's location on Dimond with all the paperwork. I'm told that the other branch didn't even initiate the correct paperwork. The Fred Meyers branch finally figured things out after an hour and a half and they were very apologetic about the situation. Would be nice if Alaska USA could line their paperwork and their employees out on how to actually do something. I don't know of any branches that open at 6:30am to allow me to do a foreign wire transfer which only leaves a 2 hour window. Not to mention everyone you talk to says something different. I understand this probably isn't something they do on a regular basis but only having a 2 hour window and costing $50 you would think they would have someone at the branches that would specialize in those items.Response to the below comment: My email was sent on 7/14 to the same email provided with no response. The only time I can get a response is when something critical is posted. I will not be sending another email.
