You could tell they built this place with people who had just enough money for a hotel in mind. My toilet flooded and I had to use The towels that were supposed to be provided for my room. I had to pick up the plunger myself downstairs even though they got security roaming the halls (I say that because they could have at least helped clean up the mess since they're just walking around doing nothing) Then I plunged the toilet. Then I asked them if housekeeping since they were still here could mop my bathroom and entrance floor and my housekeeper pretended like she didn't know English. I speak Spanish too but I decided to play dumb and see what she would come up with and all she said was front desk. The front desk guy is awesome he was the only one willing to help me with everything. Anyway before I ramble on you're telling me they couldn't come up here and clean about 12 ft of area? I provided some pictures of the area housekeeping couldn't clean and the towels they won't pick up I'll just let it smell like sewage in the hallway I guess. If you come up here to Anchorage don't come here to save money save up a little more and stay somewhere else. I'd rather have an orbital satellite ?️ fall on me then stay again.

Just in town on a business trip. The hotel had everything needed for a quick stay in town, plus some. The room was spacious and clean. It was within close driving distance to plenty of stores and restaurants.

Found bed bugs in multiple rooms! The General manager was blaming us for it which was so wrong! It was a horrifying experience finding those in the bed and on the pillows then getting blamed for it. I was already sleep deprived because I found those creepy critters. Manger also refused to pay for the laundry after I had just spent the entire day cleaning our clothes, from the 1st time. At the very least I expected a polite person who understands how hard it would be on an entire community if it spread to our small home town. Stains all over the floor, dirty head board, hairs and stains in the bed. Moved from room to room, so I demanded he checks the beds since he blamed us for the infestation. When he checked the beds with a blue light, there was multiple stains that appeared and he reacted like it was normal and upset with me for asking what those stains were. It was an experience I will never forget. There was a couple of good workers who did comfort me throughout this horrifying experience, although they did not have the power to make things right, they did listen and comfort me. I would not wish this on anyone, so I am speaking up, in the hopes that others speak up too!

A solid place all-around. I was only here for 1 night on a business trip, so I didn't know prices personally. I would have valued it at around $100-120 at most, and the listings here seem to be right on that. But I wouldn't pay more personally.Check in and out were easy for me. Room was clean and modern, with more of a kitchen than most (2-eye range, steel sink, full fridge and microwave) and the TV was decent. Wifi wasn't the fastest but there. I found the bed itself to be rather firm and cheap, but the pillows were great and thick, and I slept well.Overall, no complaints and isn't a bad place if you aren't planning on staying indoors much. Small building with a fenced in lot, and no a bad part of town seemingly. Might be better places but unlikely to be much cheaper tooSafety: Fenced car lot and locked keycard doors for the hallways, in addition to individual room locks. I assume cameras were at least in entryways. Hear there was on-site security but never saw anyone other than a single front desk worker

Stayed 1 night. Recommended for budget mindset. Rooms are clean and have a kitchen with refrigerator and stove. Staff pleasant and felt safe with their key system.

They have *BEDBUGS* - if you have to stay here, scan the room well enough to make sure you don’t sleep on beds that swarm with bedbugs. I am here with a big company and this was one of the 3 I had to choose. I might move to the other one soon. After changing my bedbug room, now I am facing an empty parking lot. Homeless & screaming people in the middle of the night disturb your sleep. There is a burner but the rooms are not equipped with ANY kitchen stuff. You need to go and ask for every little thing including mugs. There is a weird coffee maker which is not a regular one. Simplest thing you can get is a coffee machine but nah… not at Aptel. No gym. No water dispensers. You get bedbug beds - thats it.Never again.Safety: Lots of homeless around. Not the safest.

Had the worst possible experience at this hotel, a reservation made weeks in advance was not found, but money charged right away. In the middle of the night the security said to figure this out with management in the morning of next day. Unprofessional, the audit manager knew about the situation he caused, but did not want to man up to it and refused to talk with us completely. Imagine spending a night you reserved weeks in advance outside in Alaska.

The rooms and service were both fine. The location is a bit out of the way, though. Don't stay here if you didn't rent a car.

Have to stay here for work, my coworker had bedbugs, they have no do not disturb signs and despite my efforts to opt out of housekeeping, they've woken me up, entered my room, rearranged my stuff, touched all my things, RIGHT AFTER I talked to housekeeping THAT morning and asked the front desk to remove me from their housekeeping list. The front desk all just stared at me and proceeded to print out a misspelled sign to put on my door. If I didn't HAVE to stay here for work I would leave. But unfortunately my company has no other housing option for me to take.

Although the boarded up mall may seem sketchy, it's really not a bad area. Great value for location. My room was very clean. Bed was comfortable but pillows not so much. Staff was fantastic and very friendly. The key entry doors made me feel safer as I was traveling alone. I will be staying there on future Anchorage visits.

I didn't know that when I booked this hotel online that it's right next to a boarded up, fenced off mall that's been out of business for years. So it's not the nicest part of town, but the price was right without being bottom of the barrel. It was music to my ears to hear native kids laughing and playing in the parking lot, but it was awful to hear drunk, native adults dropping the F bomb, threatening violence on each other. There is no workout room, no pool, but there are kitchenettes, which I wanted. No cooking items nor utensils are in the rooms automatically, so one must ask front desk staff for those items if desired. I got a skillet, saucepans, a plate, silverware, plastic cup, cutting board and knife, dishsoap, scrubber, dish towel. There is a 2 burner cooktop, over-the-range microwave, full sized fridge and freezer, small kitchen sink and counter space. There were 2 padded, upholstered chairs and 2 metal dining chairs around a small dining table. There is a coffee maker on counter. AC/heater worked fine.I got no maid service for the week I was there. I didn't need it.We were all startled by a short earthquake just after 9A on my last day in July.
