I was in Anchorage for 3 weeks and Aspen Suites was the perfect place to stay. The room was spacious, comfortable and quiet. The staff was helpful and friendly from beginning to end. Thank you for everything ❤️

Great place to stay. We had two very comfy queen beds. A small kitchen with fridge, stovetop and microwave. Great location, clean and friendly staff. Will definitely go back. Walking distance to a nice eating place, Bear Paw that had good food and drinks and very affordable.Rooms: Comfy queen bedsFood & drinks: Bear Paw restaurant /bar just about next door. Also Starbucks is close too.

We had a nice stay at this hotel for three nights. The room was clean and comfortable. Conveniently located right next to a Starbucks as well. Was a lot cheaper than the other hotels in the area. Would recommend.

Usually, the Aspen is a great place to stay. I've stayed here often. My last stay, the TV didn't work for two days. The staff kept promising they'd "be right up" to fix it, but then they'd never show up. The toilet in my room wouldn't fill up after each flush. The facility maintenance person said they'd fix it in the morning, but they too never showed up. For four days, I had to lift off the lid and manually reset the flushing mechanism every single time I used the toilet.

I have stayed at this hotel several times and it's been excellent each time. But this last stay was surprisingly bad. I was very disappointed in staff who would say they were going to fix something for you and then never show up. I called the front desk because the TV wasn't working. It wasn't getting any signal. The lady asked what room I was in, said she would be up right away, and never showed up. There was no TV for the test of the night. My toilet didn't work properly for the entire stay. I called the front desk, who sent up a maintenance person. They said they would replace the flashing mechanism the next day. I never saw them again, the flashing mechanism was never replaced and I had to fix the toilet myself every time I flushed it. I will most likely will not stay again.

Aspen Suites Hotel is a dog friendly hotel ($20 per night, per dog) that has a kitchenette that allows for hotel guest to cook in their room during their travel. My husband and I were traveling to Alaska with our little girl dog (she always travels with us) and so I thought this would be a good hotel to stay in but am thankful that I only booked this place for one night because we had a poor experience. This hotel is across from a plaza with Starbucks and Hilton Garden Inn. We stayed for one night (a Saturday) in a queen suite, which cost me ~$280 for one night. We had arrived earlier in Anchorage than expected and so we called the hotel to ask if our room would be ready. The employee said probably after 12 pm. So later on, we had called around 1:45 pm if a room would be available to check in earlier (check in is at 3 pm). The employee said yes and so we drove over. When we checked in, we were surprised to be told by the employee checking us in that there is no room available yet, even though this was the exact same employee who told us (over the phone) that a room was available. We ended up waiting in the car until 3.So at 3 pm, we finally checked in. Got the luggage dolly and headed up to the second floor. However, the room we went in had a very, very strong smell of mold, mildew and a chemical cleaning smell. My husband was already out of patience by then and so we headed back to the front desk. Another employee said that we could only be placed in this room because the 2nd floor is the pet floor... but since there is no other rooms she refused to give us another room. After some arguing from my husband, we were placed in another room, but on the first floor (right next to the laundry room. Yes there are coin operated washers and dryers in this hotel). This room was clean and did not have a odor but it was annoying to hear the laundry room door slam throughout the day and part of the evening. A few days after we had checked, I saw on my credit card bill that I was over charged a pet fee for our stay. But at least the manager I spoke to on the phone was able to credit me back the fee. But find it to be annoying that I was over charged (again we only stayed one night) and had to call to reverse the charge. I also glad that I always like to check my credit card transactions regularly to catch things like this. The room itself was fine and space was comfortable for 2 people and a pet. But was expecting much better service.

We only stayed one night this time. The room is very sufficient. The tub and water pressure are definitely adequate. The tub was surprisingly comfortable to relax in. The shower isn't adjustable, but it works. The beds are good. I would have liked another blanket, but it wasn't too cold. The rooms include a mini kitchen. We didn't need it this time, but we could have fit lots of food in the refrigerator if we wanted to.Food & drinks: There are good restaurants within walking distance.

First stay at the Aspen Suites in mid-town, will NOT be the last. I am in Alaska (Anchorage and Fairbanks) several times a year for work. I don't need amenities like a pool or gym, as I work a lot of hours while I'm there. I need a clean fresh room, quiet for work and sleep, and professional staff. You nailed it on all counts! Bonus: Short walk to/from the Bear Paw, SWEET! Thanks Aspen!

Centrally located in town, easy access to Coastal Trail via Lyft. Public transportation is convenient, as we took bus from downtown directly back to hotel.Good quality room, altho a bit pricey, but normal for Alaska. Room was clean and kitchenette had proper accouterments and even the fridge was good size. We only stayed 2 nites, but worth it!Walkability: Really need car, bike, or scooter as walking to most places would be strenuous, altho not outrageously so.

I love the Aspen suites hotels in Alaska. We stayed here for one night in Anchorage and we ran into zero problems. It’s a good hotel in a good location with access to everything nearby. The price was also much cheaper than any of the other hotels in town, the rooms were clean and in good order, I will definitely stay here again thank you!
