Be sure you set aside 1hour to just sit and wait in the waiting room.

The provider is very agist and is after people to spend money on keeping their health up for DOT. He bragged about sending another 60 something into retirement over failing a non-scientific hearing test. Staff won't let people who are waiting for someone to use the restrooms. Bends the rule for veterans.

I was nervous about coming here for my DOT physical based on all the bad reviews. It was not at all what I expected. The staff is super friendly, I didn't have to wait long at all, and it was overall a very clean facility. My appointment was at 11:30 I was in and out by about 12:10. Kuddos to all the staff and thank you.

It’s been over a month since I had test done. And finally after numerous phone calls I finally got test results. They said they would email results to coast guard office, they never got them, no I have to pay another money he rent to wait for it, pay food, transport costs. This place is a joke. If you do use them, have sent to your email as well,Send email yourself to coast guard, call coast guard yourself to let them know you’ve sent it.We need to find a better place to get testing done for employment purposes.

Went here for drug test and medical exam. Thank you everyone at Beacon for being super friendly and polite from the front desk to doctors and everyone in between even making a few jokes with me about the process. My waits were not at all unreasonable, the longest I had to wait was because of myself for not being able to provide a large enough sample for the drug test but after that it was smooth sailing through the medical exam. I don’t understand the negative reviews here, just keep a good attitude and I’m sure you’ll have a positive experience.

Don't even think about going to Beacon for a DOT physical. They railroad everyone who comes in, into an expensive sleep study at their sleep center. Making the mistake of visiting Beacon will haunt you for the rest of your life as a CDL driver! Yet they were so completely oblivious as to not even notice I was wearing glasses the whole time and that was also a nightmare to fix with the DMV. Just don't do it! Spend a few more dollars elsewhere!

I went to dropped off the food that was ordered. The items was already heavy and I asked the staff did they order the food. The staff was very unpleasant and unprofessional. She had a rude response and to be in the medical profession.

Short staffed. You Will be waiting way longer then you will receive service. They need to take less appointments with the staff they have on hand.

I had to wait a week for the results of a drug test to come back before I could start a new job. Then THEY CALLED ME to tell me that they were going to call again. I’ve been on hold for an hour now, listening to the same mp3 audio of some classical music that repeats itself every 45 seconds. The wait in the lobby was ridiculous even with an appointment. Avoid this facility at all costs unless you have absolutely nothing to do but waste time.

I've had an incredibly poor experience with Beacon that has dragged on for the last 3 months. Through a contractual agreement with my employer they were sent for "professional review" the results of a dosimetry sample following a threshold shift in an audiogram. Dr. Vandermeer is the individual who reviewed my results and crafted a letter to my employer regarding the work-relatedness of the threshold shift. I had some questions regarding his letter, so I sent him an email. He did not respond. After several unsuccessful attempts to contact Dr. Vandermeer via phone, I was transferred to his supervisor, Rachel Lawler, a Vice President at Beacon. After a brief conversation with her, she said she'd have him call me the next morning. He did not call. After a few more attempts to reach him via phone, I was finally able to get ahold of him. He refused to answer any of my questions, and simply suggested I "get a second opinion." He did offer to refer me to a hearing specialist, and confirmed my email address so that he could send me the referral. That was 2/8/22, 6 weeks ago, and he has yet to send me the referral. In an effort to track down the needed referral, I attempted to get ahold of Rachel Lawler again. On 2/25/22 I was finally able to get her on the phone after multiple messages and voicemails. She informed me that she would send me the referral, and confirmed my email address. She said I would have it "in about an hour." I also mentioned to her the questions that I had originally sent to Dr. Vandermeer that were not answered, and she invited me to send them to her and she would answer them. It has now been almost a month, and Rachel Lawler has not sent the referral, has not answered any of my questions, and is now bogged down in so many "meetings" that she is unable to return any voicemails, emails, or messages left with the receptionist, even though I'm always told "She'll call you back today." Rather than provide me with the referral they said they'd send me, or respond to any of my phone calls, or emails, somewhere between 4:00 PM on 2/25/22 and 3:00 PM on 2/26/22, Beacon (Im assuming Rachel Lawler but I could be wrong) found the time to contact my employer and complain about me. I was a bit surprised by this, as I'm sure it took more effort and time to do that than it would have to just email me the referral. Beginning 3/7/22, my employer has been working on getting the refferal from Beacon as well. At last report, "we can't get them to return any of our phone calls." I was told there was a new point of contact for hearing issues, and that Lexi Bethel was the person to speak to. I spoke to her 3/17/22 and asked about getting the referral. She said she would need to talk with Rachel Lawler but would get back to me if not later that day, the next day. I have not heard back from Lexi Bethel either. On 2/25/22, at the request of Rachel Lawler, I forwarded my list of questions to her, as well as to Amanda Johnson, the CEO of Beacon. I was given her contact information by Rachel Lawler. To date, Dr. Vandermeer, Rachel Lawler, and Amanda Johnson have yet to respond to any of my questions, or provide the referral via email that I was told I would have 6 weeks ago. To date, not a single email has been responded to. To date, not a single voicemail has been responded to. To date, not a single message from their receptionist has been responded to. I was told by both Dr. Vandermeer and by Rachel Lawler that a specialist, specifically, an ENT would be my best next step, and that the person they recommend is the best, yet they won't send me the referral to see them. I could be wrong here, but my understanding is that I am the patient, and they are the medical care provider. However, it does not seem like they have any concern for my wellness, but rather, their contract with my employer. I believe that most people who interact with Beacon do not do so by choice but only because it is required b
