The rental was fine. -1, though, for having a plexiglass barrier in front of each employee, with a huge space between barriers. The ONLY effect being to make conversation with the Budget employee difficult. Zero lives were ever, or will ever, be saved by this measure. And if you closely examine photos of the car rental area of this airport, you will see that they're the only ones doing it. Ludicrous!

We had a great time and the process was smooth! Customer service was fantastic. Shawna was friendly, genuine and FUNNY! She helped us get our beautiful Mazda cx30. When the car had an engine malfunction, Kaser helped us switch the car to a Bronco, which is much better suited for winter driving in terrain. Very much appreciate all your help!

Rented a car at Anchorage airport through Budget and the person that helped us was named Shawna and she was absolutely fantastic… Totally helpful, totally funny and made our experience. Perfect… You have a wonderful employee!

Reserved through my company. Car was nice and mostly clean. Checking in and out was easy. A little weird how it was a separate building from the airport but luckily we figured it out. Be careful taking the car back as the ramp up is narrow.

We arrived at 1:30 am at the Anchorage Airport in August. After going over the paperwork at the Budget desk, we went upstairs to get the car. The first car was a Toyota Avalon Hybrid. I had to move the car under a light to revise it as it was very dark in the parking garage (this is by design). It had body damage in several spots, including the right, rear quarter panel, which was about to fall off completely. I'm very curious to know what happened regarding that car after we refused to drive it off the lot and get stuck with all of the existing damage. I suspect Budget tried to pawn it off on the next unsuspecting customer rather than make the repairs themselves. I went back to the desk and informed them of all the damage. They then issued us a second car (nobody went to inspect/verify the terrible state of the first car), a Kia Optima. I reviewed the car as well as possible in the dim lighting, but it appeared to be fine. I didn't see the windshield crack in the corner until the following morning in the light. I suspect Budget was aware of the existing damage to this car as well. When we returned the car the following week, I acknowledged there was a small crack in the upper driver-side windshield. I denied that it occurred while the car was in my possession. I was told the manager would call me the next day to discuss the matter. I was never contacted, and now, almost two months later, I have received a $1,600 bill from a collection agency. This Budget Car franchise is a corrupt business that engages in fraud regularly. The way they conduct business is truly disgusting. Do NOT rent a car from them. There are many other options. If you do, I would highly recommend you inspect the car VERY carefully and take photos. They will try to bill you for existing damage. Good luck trying to speak with the manager also. That crooked coward doesn't answer emails or phone calls. This operation should be shut down and it's owners should be prosecuted for their willful criminal conduct. I wish I could give them zero stars. Complete grifters!Jason W.

I have very low expectations of Budget in general, but our rental from the Anchorage Airport location last week was one of the smoothest, most hassle-free car rentals I have ever experienced. We arrived and departed late at night, but every staff member we interacted with was super friendly and efficient. The car was perfect and clean, and it was overall a very pleasant experience.

Was initially hesitant to book because of mixed reviews. Exceeded all my expectations; very nice car was ready for pick up upon arrival, quiet at the desk, sharp price, friendly staff. Overall great experience, would return.

Fraudulently charged me $379 extra for mileage when I had unlimited mileage on my rental. Manager was rude and said there was nothing that could be done despite confirming unlimited mileage in Fairbanks at pickup.Similar experience as others. This business needs to be reported to the better business bureau and investigated.

-10 Stars. Fraud based business. Added $1500 in bogus charges after the return. Not interested in seeing the signed agreement. Manager refused to speak on the phone. Total Scam, Budget needs to remove their name from this criminal enterprise.Had to dispute charge through Credit Card. After Chase determined the charges to be illegitimate with no communication from Budget, they attempted to charge again a month later.Will be reporting them to the Justice Department Fraud division. I would encourage you all to do so as well.

Cindi at Anchorage budget rental was amazing! She made the entire check in process, easy and efficient and was extremely helpful at giving us directions and pointing out areas of interest while we’re here visiting this beautiful state of Alaska. She was kind, courteous, and very professional.

Easy process, car was fine. Because I hit traffic, had no service outside of Anchorage to call and say I’d be late dropping off I was charged a whole day extra for being almost 2 hours late. So if you think you can drop off right at your specified time then go with them.

Woman at counter took my ID and credit card. I told her my name the reservation would be under, different than my last name on license. She turned me away saying there was no reservation and she checked all reservations, there is no car for me. I had to pull up my company booking directly before she admitted I had a reservation. She said, "oh, it's under a different last name." That is exactly what I told you inthe beginning, nice to know you did not listen and turned me away after I had already paid for a car.

Shady staff here, problems with assigning the car that was promised before, requires 150$ jump start fees when the car was not starting. Provide atleast basic services especially people use Budget for it's known brand, the whole company is a scam. I think it's better to look elsewhere probably get a car from the local company

Paid the price for a large suv, got a ford edge. The lady at the counter was exceptionally rude and told me since I was late that they had canceled my reservation and went into inactive status even though I had just got off the plane.. I will NOT use these people again and I advise everyone to do the same
