I've lived in Anchorage for a little over 2 years, and this is the best gift shop in town for high-quality touristy items. It's my go-to shop when I have visitors in town who want souvenirs, or if I want to send Alaskan gifts to friends and family.

Cabin Fever is an amazing "jewel" of a shop in the heart of downtown Anchorage. The friendly staff and cozy store welcome you in to browse and engage with the quality local items from bookmarks to earrings to puzzles. Cabin Fever is a MUST stop for anyone who knits or knows people who knit. The yarn is in the back of the store and within a locked, 4 shelf high, see through cabinet is the hard to find and super incredible musk ox yarns! For good reason, Cabin Fever keeps the musk ox yarn under lock & key; however they will gladly open the cabinet for you as well as explain the story of the musk ox yarn and why it's so valuable. They feature 100% musk ox yarn in addition to a variety of blends (70/30; 50/50, etc.). Yarn lovers, treat yourself to some 100% musk ox yarn as it's the softest, warmest, finest yarn the world has to offer and it's available at Cabin Fever! We bought a # of items there (earrings, puzzles, bookmarks) and of course, musk ox yarn!!

This is a great place to get gifts made in Alaska including crafts made by native tribes in both Alaska and neighboring Canada. This includes clothing, bags, food, kitchen items such as aprons, tea towels, etc. The storekeeper was so kind as we were hovering outside a bit early. They let us in early and understandably masked. So many interesting items including small items and large items so make sure you have enough time to look at everything if you stop by.

Wide range of gift items and souvenirs. If you are visiting Alaska and want to buy something for your memory, this is the right place for it. The items aren’t pricey like other gift shops.

If you're a tourist: you'll love this place. If you're a local: you'll think it's A-OK. The stuff they have here is way less gunky/gimmicky/cheesy than many downtown shops. They have stuff like: Alaska-roasted coffee, Salmon, locally-made jewelry, and other handcrafted goods. Having said all that, most of this stuff can be purchased for cheaper at other places. Also, watch out for the up-charge on bags. It's an Anchorage thing, but they don't communicate it well to customers

Just bopped around Anchorage checking out the stores. Cabin Fever had the most unique items we saw. Many were by local artists. Clothing, linens, hats, artwork. Highly recommend a stop here if you're looking for a special treasure from your Alaskan trip!

I was looking for a unique hoodie with art by an Alaskan artist. Thanks to the wonderful woman who worked there, I found exactly what I was looking for!

Great shop for gifts for yourself and those on your souvenir list. Range from mid priced and up - lovely selection! Cut above the average gift shop - more of an arts and crafts store, but still something for the under $20 gift list.
