Several of the departments were unstaffed for unknown reasons this afternoon. Also the hours of operation have changed, leaving the city without grocery access after midnight.

I was just accused of stealing by the floral manager even after presenting a receipt to prove I paid. She argued with me for several minutes until I did the simple math with her. Then, no apology. Terrible customer service. I will not shop in that floral department until she is gone

They keep the store well stocked and clean. The neighborhood isn't the best, but they have a well lit parking area and security at the doors for customer safety.

Don’t go here if you’re making banana bread. They throw out all the spotty bananas. If you want ripe bananas you are welcome to drive to the Muldoon grocery, where they “cater to people who want brown bananas”

I shop at this Carrs often, as it is a convenient location, but it's frequently a frustrating experience. No hand baskets or Euro carts available. Difficult to get someone to help you at the deli counter or hot case. The grab and go meats and cheeses in the deli section are poorly packaged; there is nothing separating the cheese slices, so they fuse together in the package and can't be pulled apart without getting mangled. The store relies too heavily on self-checkout, and there are too few check stands open for customers with full carts at peak times, resulting in long lines. There's no entering or exiting the store through the mall, and the seating area by the mall doors has been closed since the start of COVID. I'm sure there are issues with security and shrink, but it's a shame that paying customers then don't get to use these features.I've always talked up Carrs fresh baked goods, but the last few times purchasing freshly packaged bakery items, I've been a little disappointed in the overly sweet muffins and cookies--blueberry muffin topped with sugar, oatmeal cookies that were cloying and filled with a disproportionate amount of raisins, and chocolate chunk and chocolate candy cookies with the same issue. I realize some things are a matter of preference, but, objectively, the bakery items overall quality has diminished and I think the aforementioned points are part of the issue.
