“I attended for forklift certification. This was the only facility open to teaching AND providing hands-on training. Paul H. is an excellent instructor who not only answered my questions, but expounded on each event I may encounter on the job. He allowed me time to familiarize myself with the equipment, and gave tasks to ensure I was comfortable performing them. They truly go above and beyond. Thanks Paul!”

“A great place that is always hosting really cool shows. I love how there are three theaters and that you can order food and drinks from the food places, also placing orders for intermission. The seats are great and the theaters are all mostly really nice and big. Again, I love all the shows that are always going on here and I love how close it is to the mall, and shops, its right in the center of downtown Anchorage.”

“This is just the office, but they have a warehouse room where you can browse for and purchase some miscellaneous parks merchandise. You’ll just need someone to let you in. They don’t have everything you’d see at all the visitor gift shops. But they have an impressive selection for multiple parks across the state.”

“Used their emergency services three times. The first was NOvember 2020, and I spent a night getting stabilized. From that stabilization, my regular physician managed to piece together a therapy, even though problems with a seriously deviated septum kept the symptoms going..The second use was when my throat was so sore I could not swallow after the therapy of the first visit. They found a quick fix for that. The third visit was serotonin syndrome (masquerading as a panic attack), also resulting from the deviated septum. I was in such shape that there was no way they could perform tests for what they thought might be wrong. I signed out, but the tests they wanted to do would have saved my life if I had a more serious condition. Finally, in late February, 2021 I got surgery for the deviated septum and the companion symptoms subsided. My peripheral serotonin also normalized at a much lower level. The folk there were quick to act, and were able to insert needles for blood tests and IVs, despite the fact that my veins roll away from needles. I remember apologizing to one medical professional who brought in an ultrasound rig to find a vein. I apologized to her and she chuckled, pointing out that my veins represented job security to her.”

They have antiques, small furniture and seasonal items. The manager has really organized this place and the staff are always friendly. Well worth shopping and donating here and supporting their mission.”

“I lived there in the 90's. It's a very critical resource. It makes me sad to see kids complain about such a beautiful lifeline when they have nothing or nobody. My advice?... Stay in school, get a job... anything... Now is the time. Take advantage of these amazing opportunities, or it will catch up to you. Don't let the streets get you. God bless Covenant House.”

“What a great service! I was having problems with the car seat for my 1 year old grandson. The woman there was very professional and helpful. You have to schedule and appointment, but they were both knowledgeable and helpful. I have gone there 3 times with different vehicles. I am not typically please with folks providing free services, but I highly recommend this service for anyone that has a child's car seat. My ex-wife complained that my car seat was not adjusted properly. I was ready to buy another car seat, but Amy (?) figured it out and all is good.”

“There are some well-rounded, over-qualified people that work here. However, recovery services (ETC) needs to fine tune their services IMO especially in regards to maintaining high-quality personnel w/o such a high turnover rate. Chanlyut staff are exceptional. I am eternally grateful for the opportunity to work with them last time and this time around. They have greatly improved areas of my life by helping me in my journey. They really set me up for success. Thank you J, L, A and everyone else who made my needs their business and priorities.”
