I do not think it is possible to adequately describe how amazing the Physicians are at Hillside Family Medicine. My provider, Dr. Julie Stewart is the most kind and compassionate physician I have ever seen. I have been seeing her for a little over 2 years and I have NEVER felt dismissed, judged, or as if my concerns are not valid. I actually look forward to my appointments because I know that my physician sees me as human. I have seen many providers over the course of my lifetime, and I do not think I have ever actually enjoyed my experience with any of them until now. The office staff is always pleasant. The medical staff is kind, compassionate, and also listens when I speak. I have never felt dehumanized at Hillside, and I recommend them every chance I get.My husband is also a patient of Hillside and sees Dr. John Nolte. I met Dr. John for the first time this past week and to say he is compassionate and caring is an understatement. I watched his interaction with my husband and observed a kind, compassionate human who listens, and engages with his patient. Getting my husband to openly discuss concerns is huge, and I am very grateful to Dr. John for his kindness and compassion for his patient.I also at one time had the pleasure of seeing Dr. Miriam Nolte when Dr. Stewart was not available. Dr. Miriam spent the time to understand my concerns, actively listened and engaged with me, and then discussed our plan forward. At no time did I feel as if she did not know who I was even though I had never seen her before. If you are looking for a medical group who cares about their patients, who actively listen and engage, and treat you like the human being you are, I cannot recommend Hillside strongly enough. I cannot thank Dr. Stewart or Drs. Nolte & Nolte enough for all that they do and continue to do for me and my husband.

Last year was the first time I was seen at HFM by Dr. Nolte and his staff. The time he took with me and his vast years of experience & knowledge were unmatched. I’m almost 54yoa and have seen many doctors over my life time. Dr. Nolte is one of the most kindest and understanding doctors I’ve ever seen. He listens to your concerns and gives you honest feedback. To the point where, if he wouldn’t have it done, he won’t recommend you having it done - whatever “it” is for you. So, I came back this year for my yearly physical and after leaving his office, realized I will not go anywhere else. It’s hard to find an office & doctor who talks to you straight, takes the time to listen and also laughs or tell jokes with you. It’s apparent, he’s more concerned about the patient than about making a dollar. I call it “old school”! There’s something to be said about an old school doctor who cares about the person but also stays up to date with all the medical world and knows his stuff. What a great place! And the staff is just as pleasant! Thank you HFM! Knowing I have a good doctor in my corner is like having a good mechanic for your vehicle!! It’s priceless and needed.

With this practice for 20 plus years. Had death related trauma over the past two. Missed some appointments. Changed jobs and going through life. They discontinued my health care and sent my remaking balance to collections (which I didn’t know about) within a month. Saddened that health care providers have turned into this.

Dr Rachel Coleman is great at understanding my concerns and offering medical advice. The assistant today was Jocelyn - she was relatable, nice to talk to and the easiest blood draw of my life!

Dr John Nolte is a very professional and personable guy. The staff was very friendly, especially the person who checked my blood pressure/drew my blood. (I'd give her a shout-out but I didn't get her name) Anywho, if you work at Hillside Family Medicine, keep up the good work guys! :)

This place is straight up a scam. I called and made an appointment with a "doctor" who was not even a "doctor" which I found out when the "doctor" who couldn't figure out asked me to visit ER. At ER I found out she isn't a doctor just an assistant. Nobody told me I had to go to ER to find out the problem. Don't bother to go to this place you will be fooled.

Hillside family medicine has provided great service to our family. The team of doctors, nurses and PAs are skilled and thoughtful, and prices are reasonable. The ability to schedule same day appointments when calling early in the morning is much appreciated.

Went in for an annual physical back in June, never heard back for the results of my blood work so I contacted them finally. Turns out, they phoned my parents and told them without ever attempting to reach out to me, the patient. When confronted with a HIPPA violation, they claimed my old form from SIX YEARS ago had them listed, which doesn't make sense seeing as I was treated as a new patient and had to fill out brand new paperwork for the appointment! They should have given me a new HIPPA form, or at least let me update it since I am no longer a dependent and am not 18 anymore. A month and a half I waited to hear my results, only to have my dad tell me about my own health and what I need to do. Very disrespectful and unprofessional, I'll be finding a new doctor soon and will gladly submit a records release so I do not have to deal with this office ever again. And to make matters worse, they didn't even have my cell phone number or email on file when I called asking to hear the results, which is complete horse manure since as I said I was forced to fill out brand new forms with all that info updated! I could go on about their ridiculous cancellation fee and how Nolte only cares about physicals since that's where he makes his money, but I think I've made my point clear. 0 stars in my opinion, not 1.

I came in for a blood draw recently and was helped by Tess. Please understand that having blood drawn is not something I like having done. Just the thought of it makes me nauseous. That being said, the experience was quick and literally painless. Tess did a wonderful job putting me at ease and I can honestly say I had no idea when the process started and was surprised and relieved when she let me know it was done. Additionally, I've never had a bad experience there and I try to have my blood tested every year. My results came back quickly. When it comes time to do it again, I'll feel confident that my good experiences at Hillside will be repeated. Thanks for making it quick and painless. It's much appreciated!

I just contacted the front office to verify my husband's upcoming new patient appointment. I noticed I missed a call from your office on April 28, 2023 at 10:02 AM. Per the receptionist his appointment was this morning. She mentioned the appointment was notated as the wrong number and the provider was informed. The appointment was scheduled sometime in March per the office availability. I requested my contact number be notated for confirmations since I was scheduling the appointment.I asked the office to consider waiving the fee since the appointment was not notated well regarding my phone number and since we did not receive a voicemail reminder.I have worked in the dental/medical field for over 13 years. I understand missed appointments and cancellation fees but I honestly feel the office should take some responsibility. I also would recommend calling patients to confirm 2 days prior or electronic reminders. The office did not waive the fee and we will not be scheduling any future appointments.

Went in for a routine physical. At the end of the visit, the doctor asked if I had any other questions or concerns, to which I said yes, and we proceeded to talk for another 5 minutes. The physical alone was billed at ~ $330 and then a second charge for $195 for an Office Visit also appeared on the invoice. When I called to inquire what the second charge was related to, I was told the scope of the visit expanded beyond a preventative physical because of the last question I asked, hence they were "allowed" to bill for an Office Visit in addition to the physical. Had I known I would have been charged almost $200 for asking this question, I certainly wouldn't have brought it up. The billing department didn't care, and when I mentioned that our family of six, who've been using their services for 10 years, may consider switching offices, they hung up on me. For reference, I was never rude, aggressive, didn't raise my voice, swear, etc - just a regular phone call, asking questions about my bill. Needless to say, we'll not be going back. There are so many other affordable options out there these days - Teledoc charges $25/visit and can diagnose, recommend treatment, and prescribe medications for many common ailments, all from the comfort of your home. Yes, some things still require in-person visits, but there are better options than Hillside Family Medicine.

We used to be patients about 6 years ago and really liked their office and found their prices good. We just moved back and were eager to get reestablished there, but were shocked at how expensive they had gotten. Especially for my husband was is diabetic. Just simply being diabetic they will charge you more every visit. His work and visit was 3 times the price of mine. We both went in for new patient work and labs. I paid my co pay and was good, he paid and was charged over $300.I will say though that their x-ray was affordable. I got my knee looked at and it was about $80 after insurance, which isn't horrible. They are a wonderful one stop shop of medical options, but we can't go there is they are going to charge my husband a higher level visit for simply being diabetic... even when he comes in for just the sniffles.

The absolute best family medicine I’ve been to! I love seeing Dr. Stewart & Dr. Nolte, they are both so amazing! The staff is always helpful and kind and I appreciate the medical assistants/cma’s that always answer my questions throughly. I can not recommend this medical office enough! ?

I am sincerely disappointed in this medical office and their staff. Poor judgment on both the staff and Doctor.

I am new to this clinic and see Dr Stewart. I started going here because my Dr retired and I heard about their stance with helping COVID patients. I had COVID before seeing them and my Dr said I couldn't be seen and there was nothing to be done. A year later I contracted COVID again and Dr Stewart saw me in person, gave me many options for my recovery. We selected one and it was very successful. I am very grateful, I was very ill yet I felt cared for and am doing great. She is a champion in my eyes, a leader in her field and a woman to be admired. Thank you for your strength our community needs more Dr's like Dr Stewart.
