Prices have risen last couple of years. I don't know how long they will be able to stay open. Higher prices and fewer customers than few years ago.

I came to visit Alaska from Hawaii. Very excited to visit JCPenny in Anchorage. It's been awhile since JCPenny left the Hawaiian Islands.
I was excited to go shopping at JCPenny, left very disappointed. Waited too long to have someone assist me at the Jewelry counter. I asked one of the employees that passed me, she said she's over there. Waited, hoping someone will finally see me. I ended leaving all the clothes I was going to purchase. What happened to customer service JCPenny?

Products have always been reliable, but customer service was really poor for several years. It has drastically improved in the last year or so! Last 3 times I have been in, my employee interactions have been great!

More than once, Fatima has proven to be an outstanding employee for the Anchorage JCPenney Store! She is helpful, kind, knowledgeable and provided great customer service at the checkout on the first floor! Thank you, Fatima!

The employees here yell at customers. I was going to shop here but they made my friend and I very uncomfortable.
The store isn't well-stocked.

Wife enjoys shopping here. It's on the mall, so there's many other options to check out. Food court is upstairs. Not hard to find something delicious to eat. I enjoyed eating at Chopsticks (chichen soup). I wish the bowl was smaller so I can drink the juices without making a mess. Hahaha

Our family shopped Anchorage JCP location in 1960 when my Dad was stationed there in the Army . It was the best store in the entire city then! My mom loved it. We left that city in 1963 & moved to Georgia. I got to return to Anchorage for first time again in 2017. I shopped there again & was reassured it’s still the best department store. As I rode the escalator up I called my mom in Alabama & told her I was there. She was filled with great memories of this JCP. For decades this has been an iconic store in Alaska! I’ve always had a warm place in my heart for JCP!
Thanks for staying open, relevant, employing the citizens & making visitors happy. The products are great especially the sheets / bedding!

Overly priced outdated clothes. There’s really no bargain here unfortunately. The store is empty and feels like a ghost town but I’m not surprised.
