Purchased an air compressor for my RV service business to winterize RVs. It was just a little too small of a tank, not enough volume. I went back to the store to return it and they did so with out any issue. There was nothing wrong with it other than not suited for my application. Very impressed with how easily I was able to get my money back.

I’m an 80 year old disabled Viet Nam vet. I’m slow but still pretty capable. I bought 117 boxes of LVP vinyl plank flooring (~1,800 sq feet) last October. I told the flooring guy it seemed like a lotThe job was much more difficult than I imagined as the linoleum floor we were replacing because a 3/8” concrete fiber board overlay was glued and stapled to the 1” subfloor. It took me about 6 weeks to remove the fiber-board using a hand chisel. Then I had some heart issues that slowed me down quite a bit.
So here’s the problem. I finally finished the job and had 21 full unopened boxes of the LVP left over. I brought them back to your store on Tudor Rd in Anchorage. Even though I had my receipt and credit card used to purchase the LVP and the store still carried the brand and model in stock and on display at a higher price than I paid, the store manager said he couldn’t give me a store credit for the return because I bought it more than 90 days before and returns were against company policy. The LVP cost, after the military discount, cast me ~ $59 each. Now $1,300 is a lot of money for me and my wife. But we also shop a lot at Lowes and would use a store credit as we continue to remodel our house. I asked the manager why the policy allowed no room for common sense. He said the policy was in place because there was so much fraud.
I took the 22 boxes out and put them back in my truck. I didn’t take them home because winter’s coming quick and we needed the garage space for my wife’s car. So I took them to the contractor’s entrance, loaded them onto a cart, pushed it into the store and left them there. I hope they were put back into the store’s inventory. It’s OK. Not a fair outcome, but still it’ll maybe help the store get a little compensation for all those fraudulent claims.

Chris the manager at the Tudor location is amazing. He helped me with my broken fridge that I bought from lowes.com. He went out of his way to help deal with samsung customer service ,which is horrible.
