Again, I didn't really find much to buy. Killed time shopping and waiting for my cousin to return home from work. Weird, I found an Adam Turman beer glass with the MN icons of Hamms Bear, Paul Bunyan, Pillsbury Dough Boy and Goldie Gopher. Now, to wrap it super well, so I don't break it on my return flight to MN.

The new self check out is a horrible, everybody is frustrated, the scanner is inefficient and the pad asks way too many questions, the lines are unclear and there is no room between the racks and registers.

I tried to return an item at the Value Village on Dimond today that I bought at the Northern Lights store. I didn't realize when I bought it that it wasn't useable. I honestly did not know that I couldn't return a non clothing item with a receipt, The manager who I initially talked to was horribly rude! I think her name is Jerilyn. . She sneered and told me I couldn't return the item! She looked at me like I was dirt underneath her feet.I pointed out that it was defective and I just would like a store credit. She said, I will make an exception for you this one time! She said come back to the register with your exchange items. I picked out 2 skirts for the exchange and left the store.I am following up with corporate management with a complaint. There's absolutely no reason to treat a customer like she treated me.

It seems the more shoplifters take the free visits the prices keep going up more and more and because of shoplifters...this is still my favorite thrift store of all ......

This is getting out of hand, two employees, 0 employees trained to use the register, and has been this way for months. Always "no one is avaliable to check you out" but there's someone there to micromanage ME checking out. The prices are outrageous and do no represent the amount of work that's going into the store. These are donated items, this isnt a boutique. 100 dollars for a vase? Are you high? Self-checkout should give you 10% discount because you're saving the company money by not having to pay someone to do it.

They don’t let you try on clothes. I asked about the return policy. I was told I had 14 days to bring the clothes back. What they did not tell me is that not only is it exchange only, but they don’t give you a store credit. When you bring them in, you have to exchange your item for the same dollar amount worth of stuff. So beware. They are not transparent and forthcoming with their lack of a return policy. I absolutely will never buy clothing here again.

I go into this store and other thrifts once in a while, when I have a day off, or if I'm looking for something specific clothing wise normally for a costume or something specific as a costume (this time looking for ravenclaw/Harry Potter) I am always on the hunt for PEZ, something cute in household with owls, name brand things, etc. However, the pricing irritates me so much! This trip I found a brand new tin PEZ set, it was priced at $9.99. That is way high for a thrift store! I looked on PEZ.com they are selling it for $12. It should be maybe 5$ here. I didn't care too much about the set so I didn't buy it. Other PEZ I found only in the toy bags all wrapped up and I needed 1 out of the 5 so a no go for me also. Other thrift stores have their toys just out in boxes and charge $0.25 for them, that's the way to do it if you want to sell anything!! Also, this trip I saw an identical woody doll from Toy Story. One with a hat, one without. The one with a hat was a whole $1 cheaper!! That doesn't make sense. Clearly nobody knows what they are doing when it comes to pricing. Lots of Knick knacks, often times they are filthy dirty or have a chip, scuff, broken, etc. I prefer goodwill because of the "new" items they get, the more variety of items, and the bigger selection. One thing is sometimes you can find name brand clothing and it's usually under $15 or so. Different colored tags and depending on the day they are half off. I believe they do military discount on tuesdays and one day a senior discount? Dont quote me on that. This trip I did buy a bunch of books, two chapter books, a few kids books and a Costco cookbook. They were 2.99 or 1.79. Dragons Lives tacos was 1.79 looked brand new and at target it is $18.99!! Cheap! Also buy 4 books get one free. My receipt said that and I didn't see a sign honestly so I didn't know before I checked out. If you need a new cookbook or need kids books or any type of book I would check out the thrift stores for sure! This location recently changed to all self checkout registers. Now that have someone hounding every customer cash or card? They have signs it's annoying they have to ask every person.

One of the managers is extremely rude and should not be in the customer service industry. Been trying to get ahold of corporate to file a complaint.

I had a terrible experience at the Dimond location today. I come here every week on military Wednesdays and spend $100+ every time. I also donate my old things to this location. Well today, I didn’t notice my wallet was missing until it came time to check out. I checked the car and my things but could not find it. So I came back inside and asked the nice lady that watches over the self check outs if there is any way we could check the camera footage because I thought someone may have swiped it while I was in the store. She looked concerned for me and paged the Manager on duty that night. She explained the situation to him and then he approached me. He asked if I had my cart with me at all times, to which I confirmed I did but when I was looking through the stuffies, I was turned and it was right next to me. That’s when I thought maybe it had happened. He was very insensitive to my concern and simply stated that the same thing had happened to another woman recently and when they went to check the footage, it had been discovered that she had left her cart several feet away from her when her wallet was snatched. This was not the same scenario as my cart was always with me. He basically said that I should have had a better eye on my things and brushed it off like he didn’t care whatsoever. I asked if we could check the footage and he said that’ll take a long time, as if I was simply an inconvenience to him.I’ve never felt so disregarded as a customer before. But I’ve had such an awful experience today that I won’t be shopping or donating here anymore. I’d rather drive across town than come back to this location knowing how little I am valued here.
