I only gave this 1 star because I couldn’t leave a negative star. The phone service is completely unacceptable. Folks needing their prescriptions and who aren’t able to drive need a phone service that actually works. How else are they going to get their needs met if they can’t access anyone?

The worst customer service & Pharmacy I have ever experienced. Corporate needs to do a full staff training & teach everyone how to use a phone. It’s been two weeks of me calling, being on hold for hours, and getting hung up on / disconnected EVERY TIME.I got a call my medication was in. I came to pick it up. They told me JK, we don’t even have it, we have to order it. “Don’t worry mam, it’ll be here Wednesday at the latest.” It was a Friday. Of course that didn’t happen. I was just on hold for over an HOUR. GOT HUNG UP ON 3 TIMES! Then a nice lady finally answered & told me to the pharmacist is walking out the door for the day. Now I will have to start this whole process of calling & getting hung up on over on Monday at which point I guess I will have fully detoxed from my medication. Still don’t even know if my medication is on its way? Or if it will ever come? Do not go here. I’m not anymore.

Would not recommend getting your prescriptions filled here. If I could give negative stars I would. Walgreens is so short staffed that they should really transfer all of their patients to another pharmacy that can handle the patient load. There are people who need medication’s to simply live and I was just told by pharmacy technician that they don’t have enough staff to call people and inform them when they are out of stock for their medication. I have been trying to get this medication filled for two weeks and I have called them many times to make sure that they have it in stock and that it can be filled and all three times that I have called. I was never informed that my medication was out of stock. Now I have to wait for who knows how long to get my prescription filled at another location which I’m sure will be another hour long wait in line. Walgreens, hire more people and do better or shut your pharmacy down people with serious health conditions don’t have two weeks to wait for a medication they NEED everyday.

Pharmacy counter is closed. The line for the drive through is 11 cars deep and hasn’t moved for the last 15 minutes. This is crazy.I also can’t tell if my prescription is actually ready because they’ve never texted or called but it’s been at least eight hours since the request was sent from my doctors office. I tried calling the location but their phone message system is super messed up and just gives loud Feedback and won’t let you select any of the dial through options. What a joke.I won’t be coming here again for prescription pick ups

Limited hours, drive through only at random times, always short staffed, and have never once had my meds filled on time. Absolutely no way to contact them over the phone as it is all automated.

Came to pick up my prescription to find out the sign on the front door says you can only pick up your prescription via the drive-thru. I got in the drive thru line at 1301. It is now 1448 and I still have three vehicles in front of me and 10 behind me. Also, it’s noted that this pharmacy closes at 1700. So the people who are in line behind me may not even get in to get their prescriptions. This is unacceptable service. You need to be hiring more employees and maybe, just maybe, if you pay your pharmacy techs better you would get quality people or people who would want to work. I will not be feeling my prescriptions at any Walgreens in Anchorage ever again.

8/30: wraparound line of cars around the building. The pharmacy is closed indoors so you’re SOL if you took the bus there. There was a woman outside telling the people in their cars that there’s only one pharmacy employee working right now. Walgreens should just CLOSE THE PHARMACY and decline prescriptions until they have proper staffing. It’s absolutely ridiculous that they’re continuing to work in extremely limited hours and force people to idle in their cars while essentially willfully holding medication hostage. Don’t try to call because you won’t get through to anyone.Walgreens pharmacy hours are wrong. They’re only open M-F 9a-5p. I came all the way over here for meds I need, and their pharmacy has been long closed. I start work earlier and finish work later than their hours allow, so I won’t have time to go until who knows when. Bummer because this has been my go to pharmacy

NEVER USE WALGREENS BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT TRUSTWORTHY.I made an appointment for a vaccination, showed up early, waited in line, and then was told that they don't have that vaccine. The pharmacist told me that they don't check to see if they have a vaccine before making the appointment. This happened to me at a different Walgreens a couple of years ago also. In that case they never carried the vaccine at all, but still gave me a reservation to get it. I swore that I would never go a Walgreens again. Then I forgot how bad they were and did it again. I don't recommend going to any Walgreens for any reason because they are untrustworthy. It is obviously a ploy to get you into the store in hopes that you will buy something, even though they have wasted your time.

They gave me another reason to hate them. Why are your hours less than the other Walgreens pharmacy hours? What's the matter? Too tired at 1:00 in the afternoon? Wanna go home early and go beddie-bye? Wake up! There are people who get off work AFTER 5, and are off Saturday and Sunday. You have no reason to be closed after 5 and on weekends.P.S: Get your hours straight. You are pissing off your patients. I can't wait to hear back from Express Scripts

Because their hours are limited due to short staffing the pharmacy closed at 5:00 p.m. I knew this so I took off time from work got there 30 minutes early to be told the line is so long at the pharmacy they're not accepting anybody else and I need to come back a different day. So now they're holding my prescription that I need hoste. I will be moving my prescription somewhere else that has normal operating hours. I will also be making sure everybody I know never uses Walgreens again this is the second location that's done this to me

I don't know what this pharmacy was thinking when they posted these hours. Personally, I think it's very selfish and inconvenient. There are people who work up to and past 5:00 and can only get their prescriptions on weekends. I know you guys are tired, want to go home and go night-night, but we all work day jobs like you and all get through the day. Just because you're open 7 days a week doesn't mean you're going to work all 7 days. You will get your 2 days off, it just won't always be Saturday and Sunday. Get it together

Walgreens pharmacist on Lake Otis would not fill my prescription because she didn't agree with it. I have friends who've had the same illness are were treated with that drug and recovered quicklyApparently this pharmacist , Whitney I believe , thinks she is medical doctor or at least thinks she is smarter than themThe pharmacists role is to provide drugs that cure people. Apparently Walgreens hires pharmacists with mythical knowledge beyond what we understand as American medicine

Literally the worst pharmacy in Anchorage. They don’t answer the phone, will tell you meds are ready when they aren’t, and will have you pick up when all the meds in the order aren’t available. The incompetence trickles from the top (pharmacist) down in this place and it’s scary because this is a pharmacy. They change the store hours as if they aren’t aware of when they will have staff on a daily basis. Causing patients to not have their meds when they need them. I have had a great experience with CARRS pharmacy on gamble and they are short staffed as well. So it’s no excuse that Walgreens is functioning at this sub par level.

The worst of Walgreens pharmacy in my life!! They changed their working hours abruptly without considering the in store prescriptions for patients. This is bad!!
