Only one teller working. Waited for a long time only to be told the system was down and was directed to a go to a different location.

I work for an insurance brokerage, and recently a hearing impaired person came in to the office to get an auto policy. The policy required that the insured provide a bank act. number. This was also a gentleman in his 70's who does not access the internet often, and most definitely didn't have an online banking account. He did not know his account number and had no checks on him. Myself, the insured, and the insureds speaking representative all made a call to Wells Fargo. I finally reached a rep. with Wells Fargo. This gentleman told me that they do not give act. numbers over the phone. I asked the gentleman if he could help walk the insured through the process of setting up an online account, so that he could obtain this info. The gentleman laughed at me and said, "Well I think that it is very strange for a third party to be making this call, but I guess we can try to help him in some way, if he can authenticate himself." This was already after the insured had authenticated himself with his social security number, as well as card/pin number. The entire time during this conversation, the insured and the speaking rep. were present. I told the gentleman that it was not odd for an insurance company to reach out to a financial institute and that the gentleman was hearing impaired and was needing some help. The gentleman then cut me off and said, "Ok mam, thank you for calling Wells Fargo, you have a nice day." At this point the representative hung up on me. Voices were never raised. The conversation was never contentious. Yet a representative of your company spoke to me like that, and treated a hearing impaired person with absolute discrimination. I am appalled by this gentleman's actions and I hope that this recorded call is obtained and I hope that there is disciplinary action on the companies part. If a person in customer service isn't willing to do their job, how on earth are the able to maintain that job. Zero stars for me Wells Fargo! 04/03/2023

Over this year, I have provided transportation for a friend to Wells Fargo Bank on Debarr in Anchorage, AK. I personally do not have an account due to past dealings. I would like to say that I do not fault the employees and find them to be friendly. I find that the service there is slow. A transaction requires bring a lunch. Today, required 35 minutes to make a simple deposit. I would not recommend this branch or Wells Fargo in general.

The service manager Rose Baye was extremely kind and helpful. She went out of her way to get my missing wallet back to me. Great service from this location. Thanks Rose!

I went in with the intention to open up a business account and to cash/deposit a check from my 401(k) account from my previous employer. The manager took one look at me and said she couldn’t cash it because it was not a Wells Fargo check and I didn’t have an account with Wells Fargo. Knowing that US Bank is owned by Wells Fargo I made sure to ask one more time to confirm that it couldn’t be cashed. Although that was frustrating, I let it go. I then asked about opening a business account and was told that no one in the branch could help me open an account. I was the only black person in the branch and everyone else was helped with no questions asked. Wells Fargo has lost 2 potential customers today for 2 different types of accounts. I will never consider banking with Wells Fargo after this interaction, and I hope the staff are trained to treat folks of every walk of life equally.

Poor performance. No customer service. Long line. No sense of urgency. Employees just standing around.

I went there this past week shown the man in charge how he offered water etc to someone. I was told won't be going that anymore even to assist a senior citizen. Got no real help from him but everyone else was super and treated most kindly and respectfully. When your tired and hurting you should get help whether or not you are a senior citizen and a woman . What's the world coming too. It's bad enough they won't shredder documents for you. Was treated better in AZ. Then here gave me lots if bottled water free.

What a poor experience! I called 2 branches to see if they had foreign currency for an upcoming trip. After locating the branch that had the currency I walked in with cash -- only to find out you have to have an account to do foreign exchange !!!! And they are the only bank in Anchorage that holds foreign currency on site ! Oh yeah -- they did offer to open an account . Fortunately I do and will never bank there-- based on this experience

One teller there is really nice but she's not enough to keep me around. I don't feel like this branch is equipped to handle actual banking needs, it feels like a glorified ATM that for some reason needs people to help it function. The manager doesn't do much but tell you to wait and looks at you while you're trying to be patient. Not cool, either help me out or find something else to do with your time. Not coming back, I'll find a better branch.
