This is the only game in town and most travelers are from their cruise ships. Check in took long since there was only one girl working and she was also booking peoples excursions, and handeling customer service requests. Once we got checked in things were ok. Property is beautiful, hiking trails on property, but not much else around. Lodge itself is grande and rooms average but clean and comfortable. As others have said food was expensive but we found it to be very good. Our server was very nice and we had no problems. We were not from the cruise ship so we didn't expect to be "catered to". Seems like some guests felt they should be getting the same level of service that they had gotten on the boat.

I was robbed here. Had dinner and the food and service was good. The problem i have is after i paid and tipped well i was charged 3 times for my dinner. All charges came up to over $400. When brought up to the manager he informed me that, "that's just how it is. Sorry" i will never return to this establishment after

It was the end of their season and their employees are looking forward to going home. We did not receive the service we would usually expect.Rooms: Very nice but starting to look a bit tired. Bathrooms are really showing their age.Nearby activities: Little town of Copper Center is a gem. Make sure to stop at Nummys for breakfast.Safety: Watch out for grizzly bears in September.Walkability: There are trails but no destination to really walk to.Food & drinks: Good food and drinks. We ordered something from the menu and when we received our bill noticed we were over charged on two items. When we mentioned it to the waiter they said prices changed and we haven't printed new menus. We even checked with management, they did not honor the prices on the menu.Noteworthy details: They cater to the cruise ship passengers, you're just lucky to be there.

Cozy stay with a beautiful view out the front window. The lobby was beautiful and a wonderful place to hang out. I do wish there had been a microwave and fridge in the room. The room was clean and comfy. Bathroom was clean.

We found this hotel with short notice on our return trip to anchorage. It is one of that princess hotels which means the staff can be overwhelmed at times but I will tell you they are KIND PATIENT and extremely PROFESSIONAL. My favorite was Karly at the front desk. She was patient and thorough and kind. Even took time to tell me what the off season is like. She is an absolute gem and I would highly recommend this hotel not just for the staff but for the amazing view

This was a very nice, clean and comfortable place to stay. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The beds were very comfortable and we had a couple of good nights sleep there. Please be aware that this place is very secluded, so there is no going into town to get something to eat. Your options are only the two places that are on campus and they are very expensive. I probably would not stay there again because of that.

No customer service till the assistant manager came out to work the front desk. Took over two hours for dinner in the bar. Took one hour just to get a drink. Rooms are nice location is grand. But need to work on being kind. I understand you only have two weeks till you close for winter, but is that my fault? In the morning getting a beverage in the bar young man named Baun he was at Denali last year he knows customer service. Girl in gift shop I think Cyra couldn’t see her name tag. More interested in her cell then helping me with a purchase decided I could buy it at the AK gift shop at Freddie’s in Palmer.

It took over 30 mins to check in simply because all the staff were helping the tour booking customers over the other counter. They just left the registration desk unattended.

Poor management. They act like they only care about guests from the cruises who book extra tours with them. Never been to a hotel/resort/lodge that has no staff at check in counter. Wasted a lot of time at check in. Not recommend.

Vending machine doesn't work, only soda is in bar. Bartender is slow. Denali brewing is skunk water. Rooms smell like old basement.

Great location with beautiful views. Can see the Copper River and Kutina rivers from room. Mt Drum and Wrangell range in distance. Nice walk around property to see wildflowers and enjoy views. Quiet smaller property with relaxing vibe. Rooms are big. Great restaurants with beer and appetizers you can enjoy from large window seating or outside on deck.
