Very high fees, predatory in nature. Greed has come to the credit Unions. It was supposed to be a change to empower people. Now it's just like every other blood sucking bank. I miss Alaska USA, Global sucks.

Trash. Ever since they switched from Alaska USA to Global it’s been a terrible experience. Really sad to see such a great financial institution for Alaska become this.

Way to take a friendly financial institution and become just another predatory bank. All of your recent changes have accumulated to this being one of the worst banks I've used. I loved Alaska USA, I used their services for 15 years. Alaska USA is dead, Global FCU is a shell what it was. The people are still great, but it sounds like you're trying to put an end to that too.

I personally think since you guys switched over everyone is missing money, or can't even access your own account. You guys have so many problems since you guys switch I believe you guys need to switch back to being alaska USA n not be owned by japs

I have a couple accounts with this bank and went to open my son a bank account and was waiting 20 minutes in the lobby after waiting 30 min in line before the same lady I talked to came to tell us it would be a while and I understand being busy but I saw someone who came in after us be taken from the teller window into an office that just had someone leave while I was still waiting and they came in after us. This is not my first bad experience with them and now it’s making me lean towards switching banks for myself as well as taking my son somewhere else.When I was told it was gonna be a while after this other person was taken back before me I was asked if I wanted to make an appointment and I said no I’ve been waiting almost an hour and still not getting anything done I’ll just go somewhere else then and the lady just said OK and turn and walked away.Kind of made me feel like they didn’t care to keep my business.

Just reading the reviews for this place confirms my frustration. They are very careless with other peoples money. Banks seem to forget that money isn't theirs, it ours. I have had all but one of my loans through them throughout the years and that is now over. I went to pay off two of my loans through them over a month ago and still haven't received my titles. Come to find out they didn't process my truck loan so the insurance on the loan didn't get paid so my truck wasn't actually paid off. It wasn't till I said something did it get fixed. Then I asked about the trailer and it wasn't paid off because the branch gave me the wrong payoff (even though I asked for a 20 day payoff) for the loan so there was still 27 dollars on it. Like seriously, do I really want to carry 27 dollars on a loan. Keep in mind I paid cash so I'm assuming everything completely done at this point. In the meantime no-one let me know about it so it accrued interest. If I hadn't checked on it, It would have gone delinquent and hurt my credit. So I had to pay it or wait 10 business days just for someone to review it not fix it review it. Just another bank trying to get theirs. When I called to talk to someone about it they passed me off to a snarky member services person that could do absolutely nothing but listen. That's was a waste of 20 minutes of questions and no answers. Why can't we talk to a branch manager that can actually fix problems. I wanted to use them again for the SXS and Toyhauler I got but I went elsewhere just for the horrible service they provide and lack of interest in fixing problems.

They can take up to weeks to update your withdrawal information. And then they charge overdraft fees for things that happened weeks ago but would never have been purchased had they actually been up to date on their finances. Definitely do not recommend this pathetic credit union.

They put a huge amount of MY money in the wrong account !!!I have the paper work and they still have not returned my money. Talked with APD they said to talk to the FBI and FCC !!THIS BANK IS AWFUL

Stacie Ihrig and her team at Alaska USA Federal Credit Union in Eagle River are phenomenal!! I am always greeted with efficient, friendly professionalism. Even when it's super busy in the branch, Stacie makes time to carefully handle our sometimes difficult transactions. Great job ER team!! You are making a difference!

Tried to open a business account with these clowns. They kept telling me I needed to file an initial report with the state before I could open a business account. Their know-nothing bankers apparently can’t tell the difference between an LLC and sole proprietorship (one has to file, the other doesn’t). Wasted an hour of my time for stupidity.
