As you enter a Fred Meyer’s you always home kinda feeling. The glow and warm atmosphere, it might be a little more expensive but those traits make up for it and the team is always helpful.

I shopped here on my own before hiking. I found a few Alaska souvenirs. Kinda spendy here, so waited to buy at Walmart. Found cheap bagged salads here. Also 2 day of the dead skull tins with smarties inside for $1 each. Saw more unique items such as Alaskan popcorn company. There are no plastic bags in this part of Alaska. Yes! Please get rid of these in MN please! They charge for a paper bag, but girl helping said the small paper ones are free.

Store is always clean and is arranged so you can find anything you are looking for. Employees are friendly and easy to talk to. Reward system always has some savings on an item that I purchase.

My preferred grocery store in the area. Typically has decent prices, the best if you follow sales. The food is fresh and good quality. Employees do a good job and are generally friendly and helpful.

Utilizing the self checkout in rush hour times and busy days is an absolute nightmare. The machines are confusing asf with no instructions or signs telling you possible issues or errors and how to navigate them. The one staff member who can't watch over 4 machines expects you to know how to EXPEDITIOUSLY use them and correct issues as if you calibrated the machine or you work there and gets snappy with you when you can't answer them. Sorry I don't pay attention to what item the machine is kicking back or why I didn't even know that was a thing?? I don't know what the issues are with why the machine kicks back items some sort of internal referencing errors on products but that's not my damn problem as a customer so don't look at me as if I caused the machine problem, even if I have still not my gd problem the machine has some sort of internal issue, YOU FIX YOUR MACHINES not the customers. Frustrating and annoying do better, hire more people, something

Ordered pickup, they said 6, wasn't ready by then. No call, no text, no update on the tracker for the groceries.Called and told pickup within 3 minutes or no groceries. Didnt update tracker til 3min to closing (once phone call ended).Employees are rude even though they couldn't be bothered to report the shopping as done. Manager did apologize but couldn't help. It's my mom's order that I was going to pick up since I'm in town this week. She has Leukima and is on an oxygen concentrator.

Definitely the best Fred Meyers in the Anchorage municipality. It’s always clean, their customer service is superb, and they are usually always stocked.

The staff are rude. There was 5 cashiers standing next to the horrible new conveyor belt self checkouts. There was only 1 open lane with human cashier and 9 customers in line. When I was having trouble with the new self checkout sending my scanned items back at me the staff was unhelpful and told me "well you could have just waited in line for the cashier"

Eagle River Fred Meyer is part of Kroger and has clothes groceries, and even hardware! I got fish boxes to take home my fish catches. Everyone is so friendly!

I love this place! They have everything needed for home, kitchen, auto, sports and even a jewelry store. Grocery selection is excellent and in my opinion is better than the big box stores. Seafood was well stocked. Meat selections were great as well. Super good variety of cheeses as well. My go to place while on vacation in Anchorage.

Love fred Meyer but why is every deli a joke? It takes so long to slice cold cuts. Not just this one - all of alaska. They write it down and say come back later? Never had this experience on the East coast. Just slice the meats and hand it over. Stop b.s ing

A good place to shop, everything you need at fair prices. I prefer to shop here because of their high-end presentation. They have a great organic selection and a wonderful floral department with helium balloons for all special occasions.
