Took my toddler in for a haircut. He was well behaved and didn’t move. The worker sighed a lot and was forcefully moving his head. Towards the end she acknowledged she was having a bad day and that it wasn’t appropriate how she acted. I appreciated that she recognized it and partially apologized so I figured it was a one time thing. We returned a few months later. The same worker gave the same behavior with my other child. Visibly annoyed, rude, aggressively moving my child’s head who was sitting extremely still and was listening to her directions. She was condescending to me as I was explaining the type of haircut we wanted. She didn’t try to clear hair off my child’s neck or shoulders and my child had two scratches/cuts on her neck that she complained of immediately after. More than once the scissors were extremely close to her eyes where she seemed to not have awareness to how close she was. Both interactions ended with her being overly happy and joyful and talking about how well behaved they were and how much she loved her job.

Well, I got multiple bad haircuts from this place, but I wanted to give it one Last try. And yeah, never going back here again I asked for a low fade on the side, kind of like a modern mullet And the lady that was cutting my hair said she knew how to do it and she completely just buzzed the Side of my face. like I don’t know how you mess up that bad?

Middle age lady cut my hair. Asked for a finger length short fauxhawk. Had to ask her to go shorter multiple times after telling her initially the length I wanted. The sides right above where the fade ends are longer than my hair on top. Both sides are different lengths. And when she cut it shorter the final time, she only did the front and nothing else so it's.... interesting. Just left because it was getting nowhere.

I guess I’m a glutton for punishment….my last haircut was horrible and now today’s haircut was just as bad. What I do not understand, they read the notes and ask questions about how you like your hair cut then they just do whatever. I do not understand why there is a massive mirror if they just turn you away so you can’t see how your cut is going???
There is a common thing too, it seems that the lady’s on the right side stations are the ones who botch hair cuts and don’t use the mirror.
Never again.

The staff completely disregards what is asked and will style your hair in the quickest and easiest way. I truly can not express how disappointed I have been each of the 12 times I've gone.

I have to agree with most reviews.One of the worst Haircuts I ever had.They need to Change their name from “Great clips” to just “Okay Clips”.or “ Bad Clips “.I got home and washed my hair to find out it was all uneven.I had to break out My scissors and trimmer and do a little work on it.I didn’t want to go back.For $25 including tip I won’t be returning ever again..

This place has gone down hill (seems as though they lack a manager). It is usually fine to get a C+ military style haircut (which is all I ask) but at a certain point it’s not worth it. Is it a requirement to have untreated Bipolar disorder to work here?One lady literally described how her step father bought her a sex toy in Anchorage . Her comments were totally unsolicited/ unprovoked and in front of my wife (true story). Other times they have described what psychological medications they are on (I didn’t ask). Recently I saw , three of the hairstylists loudly shouting to each other in the ears of their customers as they cut hair with no break in the conversation ( some were senior citizens, this is in eagle river and they looked like veterans, visibly uncomfortable but in too deep to escape).. These people are being provocative for provocative’s sake. They are very disrespectful of other people’s boundaries, especially when you are hostage in a chair getting a haircut. I am here to get a buzz cut not be an audience as all the hairstylists show what edge-lords they are. I hope they hire new management/ fire loud crazy employees, if not I am more then happy to drive to any of the other (better) places in ER or drive to Anchorage.

My fiancés haircut was very uneven. He was very specific and asked her to trim the sides and cut the top but leave it a little longer. He was wearing a hat at arrival to appointment and told her, when I don’t wear my hat I brush my hair forward like this and I want it to go about 1/2” above my brows. She cut it shorter than asked and there are random patches of longer hair throughout but the front is the most uneven.

Long waits (not surprising in Alaska), friendly, well-trained staff. Worth going just make sure to check in online and run some errands first.

When your hairdresser brings her kids into work, they throw things, scream, and hit their mother (while she's cutting my hair) I am not impressed at all. I get that she's trying her best, but I'm not going to pretend like that was a pleasant experience. I try to be very low maintenance and not ask for much, and I don't think that saying "this is ridiculous" is going too far.

For years I have loved this place but recently it has gone downhill. I know there are still a few ladies there that are amazing and have been there for a while but I never seem to luck into them when I go in. I got my hair cut before vacation and it was very uneven, not what I had asked for, and they cut off way more than I said too. I didn't say anything when they flipped the chair around because I didn't want them cutting even more to "fix it". A few months later I grew it long enough to go in and try to even it out a bit and asked for someone else to cut my hair. They seemed to not like that but complied. The last straw was taking my brother for a cut this past Friday before a funeral. We asked them to cut and style the top a little and she said she could. The stylist had her baby in a carseat next to her while cutting hair and kept stopping the haircut to check on her baby and rushed the cut making it very uneven and messed up. We paid and left straight for another place to fix what they messed up. This was my last time using them unless I see a trusted long term employee but have sadly already found a new place. The feeling isn't welcoming anymore.Service: Haircut
