Since Denali was bought out by Nuvision, they are a shell of what used to be, a great credit union. Now they have closed branches everywhere and cut hours. They are no longer open on weekends in Eagle River anymore, and their customer service is terrible. You can’t call speak to a person in Anchorage anymore, you get directed to the lower 48 each time. After 40 years banking with Alaskan, Denali Alaskan, Denali FCU, it has become time to switch to a new Credit Union.

Overall, the Eagle River Branch is full of great employees. I would strongly recommend this specific location for their service. But overall I would give Nuvision’s fraud department and the service at other locations (specifically Huffman) as at the best negligent. If you have any issues with fraud charges to your account, or are hoping this bank will file legitimate claims in legible sentences that can represent your issues, or any communication whatsoever I’d steer clear. I’d especially take any assurances given in writing, or any sentence like “we will contact you with updates” as nonsense. It does not matter if it’s your rent payment on the line that is the concern, this bank will do their best to ensure you are not cared for. But the Eagle River Branch is awesome. Good people there for sure. The only reason I even kept a checking account is because the tellers at this location, I had intended to fully close my account at this location but the customer service experience in Eagle River stopped me from doing so. But as far as a bank goes, customer representation and actual ability to handle finances? ? Go anywhere else, this company is trash.

Great branch. I am very glad at my decision to bank with this team. Lo runs a tight shop, is always smiling and willing to get the extra step to make banking here easier and user friendly.

Wonderful staff but the Nu-Vision management is making online banking more restricted. Moving most of my banking to AK FCU instead.

Tommy and his team took care of a major life change for my child today. I'm happy we were prepared with the right documents. It helped ensure the process went smoothly. Colin was so quick! It was like I blinked and we were already done. They even offered an envelope to store all our documents in, and I walked out of there with not only a new account, but reminder cards for how to easily set up my online banking. Thank you Tommy and Colin for making this process a breeze!

After Denali Alaskan F.C.U. was taken over by Nuvision, based in California, the quality has gone down. I do not recommend banking here.

After Denali fcu was bought out by nuvision their customer service and ability to do anything has gone away. I am trying to switch banks to credit union 1, and not only will Denali not give credit union 1 my 10 day payoff. THEY WONT GIVE IT TO ME!!!
they have to email it to me and that will take up to two business days. So I will have to make 2 trips just to close my account with them. This is just dumb.

The bank is inside the grocery store. There isn't much room for a line but there usually isn't a very large line.
