All of the employees are incredible super cool people. The older lady who works nights is kinda grumpy, but has a heart of gold, and always stands up for what she believes in.

If you are stopping for gas-n-go, it's an okay spot in Eagle River. If you need to wash your windshield, the odds are the fluid will be empty. They have a stand alone car wash - NEVER PAY FOR IT - it's always broken and when it's working, it barely does. Your vehicle will not be cleaned. If you like sarcastic and exhausted employees then enjoy, otherwise, stay out of the store.

Let me start with this fact. It is so massively unsafe to have a skeleton night crew, or in most cases I have seen? A single person. Working the graveyard shift, at the only liquor store in eagle river open past 1am weekdays. And 2 am weekends. Your "system" shuts down about 15-30 minutes before your advertised " liquor store is open from 10am-1.am, or open to 2am on weekends. That's stupidity 101. Add a pissed off staff? Most full of resentment towards the " management". Rightfully so. This issue has been brought to my attention for 3 fucking years now. If you don't want customers to be assholes? Give them an actual closing time. And out of the litany of graveyard workers I have had a rapport with? Half is good, the others have a really warped sense of importance. You can see my Id. But you do not get to play cop. And you don't get to make up bullshit rules either. I don't buy for minors. And you are a convenient store employee. Doesn't make me better. But it sure as shit gives you no authority to act like you are superior to the customer. This so called "convenience store" is actually worse than my initial review. I don't know if it's a chicken/egg situation? Nor do I care if they hate their jobs. And I'm speaking about the 2 night shifters, I don't use names. I have what the two lack. Some measure of respect. I understand that the kraut ( yeah that's right. I said kraut, nothing as demeaning as her words). Is elderly. I would care if she had not ranted racist slurs in the past. And now doesn't listen or give a crap about a customer who has always helped her. But I have a limit for bullshit. And junior? He has none of those obvious issues. He is just a straight up reject. That seems unwilling or incapable of being a respectful big boy. I am not the only one who has a problem with this fuck the customer behavior. But that's Tesoro's problem.

There was only one person working on the weekend. Also the bear paw festivals going on. The store was swamped with people, the line was about 30 minutes long. By the time I got up to the front cashier informed me that she was not taking credit cards. Thankfully somebody let me borrow some cash, The cashier did not even have change to give back. She was not apologetic, she was rude. I called and ask for the owners phone number and nobody would give it to me so I ask for the manager's phone number and nobody would give it to me. They said I would have to call back at 11 at night or 7 AM in the morning to speak to a Manager.

Horrible service, got shorted on my change and the employee was incredibly rude and waved me off instead of counting my change

I like the munchie selection. They're open late..lots of things close here even earlier than Anchorage. There always seems to be something dramatic going on but this time a customer was being rude. Meh. I go because it's convenient. Not to make conversation. It's serviceable.
