Can I leave zero stars? They 'disposed' of my delivery because they determined it was perishable. It was sunglasses. Not my first bad experience with them.

You really can't be bothered to answer the phone? That's crazy. Yall somehow delivered my package to the wrong place and then decided you can't answer the phone?

Great customer services. Friendly and every time I call for whatever reason (s) they always take care of the situation promptly. My thanks to the great workers of Eagle River Post Office.

This post office is great. If any issues came up they would be dealt with swiftly. The personnel behind the counter are some of the kindest and hard working people. It is a busy area so sometime you just have to be patient.

They keep saying mailbox is unsecured but won’t just leave the package at the door or ring the doorbell to see if anybody is home to claim. I rent and am having issues with my landlord getting a new lock for my box and I have been to USPS multiple times to tell them of the situation yet they still hold ALL of my mail and packages, including paychecks. They then send the mail back to the original location so that now when I come to pick up my mail, it’s not there anymore. They told me that they assumed “I moved out” because the box wasn’t secure. If they just rang the doorbell or left the package at the door it would be obvious that I do still live here.I understand I need a secure mailbox to deliver, but there was no attempt to even see if I’m home to hand deliver to me.

My experiences here have been fine. They're a little backed up if you need to wait in line, but they were friendly and have delivered my packages with no issues.

They are dealing with the same issues everyone else is dealing with; short staff. But no, that does not excuse them for their poor effort. I don’t like how they don’t actually attempt to deliver a package but will mark it as “attempted to deliver but no secure location” and then not deliver the package at all. They make you go to the post office to pick up a package they never attempted to deliver and prob never intend to deliver. They want you to suffer, along with them? I truly believe the issue lies with whoever is calling the shots (is that the postmaster? )and I honestly feel sorry for the workers. There is a huge, systemic issue that make this post office one of most inefficient I’ve ever been to. I have been to about 20 post offices in my life and I don’t think I’ve ever experienced any of the issues I have experienced from this post office. I’d rather spend 6 hours in a DMZ than have to try to track and pick up a package that should have been delivered a week ago. Incompetence but government work (I also work for the government).

I get it, it's cliche to have a bad experience with a post office, but this has to be the worst post office in the country, if not the state. They are literally incapable of delivering mail to the PO boxes inside the facility, I've tried on two separate occasions to have a box at this location as mail isn't delivered to parts of this town, and they will return to sender half of what gets sent there- even when it's just simple letters. Don't waste your time or your money.

Our dog was left outside one day two years ago, and ever since, the mailman refuses to even attempt to deliver anything to our home, or even leave it by the garage. Even items requiring a signature never even make it off the truck, even with the dog locked inside.

I don't have any complaints, every time I went to Eagle River Post Office, the people were very nice.

The people I have dealt with inside the PO have been kind and served me well. Mail delivery is where the problems are. Despite filling out a form when we moved in listing our names as the only recipients on our mailbox, we've continued to receive mail for other individuals--some for previous tenants and some for entirely different addresses. We spoke to personnel about it, which resulted in stopping our mail and being forced to fill out the same form again. The same issues persist. We've had our packages delivered to others' mailboxes. (Like today.)We've had packages delivered to our box belonging to other people on our block. (This also happened today.) We've had packages delivered for the correct house number but meant for a completely different street. (Last week.)Regardless of staffing, all these mistakes are easily corrected by reading, so I can't wrap my head around why it continues.

Seems like a waste to review the post office. So I'll just tell you my story. I will say that the postal folks at Eagle River are fantastic. Many things are outside their control and they are most definitely understaffed. That being said they do work hard. To a degree they are still an entity of the United States government, nothing says "I require patience" more than the federal government. Right?I reiterate. The workers, from clerks to my carriers, are all wonderful people thrust into a challenging situation. MY STORY: If you've been to the ER P.O. in December this past year, you probably waited 2 hours plus. I know I did. 1 hour and 45 minutes in line. TWENTY MINUTES to find my package. It was much needed medical supplies and I was traveling the next day. Come to find out my box was on one of a hundred pallets for 9 days. No wonder they struggled to find it.We flew to Nevada and boxed up 23 large containers and a bowling ball to be sent back to Eagle River. We mailed six per day at the retail ground rate which is the cheapest cost available. You can also expect delivery in two weeks (they warn you it could take upwards of 30 days). Perfect! We have to fly back home and prepare space for our junkola!Fast forward to landing at Ted Stevens Tuesday night. As we pull up in our driveway we see six of the boxes have beat us home. Wait.......what? That's only 4 days! The next morning, six more parcels, as well as the next day. The first 19 packages all took 4 days from Reno. The last 4? It's been almost three weeks and they can't find the bowling ball. It hasn't checked in anywhere and we can't do anything about it for another week. Luckily, the important material all made it here, making this a most hilarious adventure. Oy vey, if packages could talk! I hope you enjoyed my usps saga as much as I did sharing it. 01/23

I've found the employees here friendly and helpful.Does this post office deserve its 2 star rating (as of 12/31)? I don't think so, but I understand; I saw the long lines and full parking lot in the weeks leading up to Christmas just like everyone else. I'd blame the issues on someone higher up the chain, and the epic storm certainly didn't help.

Worst post office in existence. No organization. Constant lost packages, and so slow there's rarely parking. And their drivers can't sort the unorganized mail se they just dont deliver it. Your forced to waste an entire day usually waiting in line just to try to get your regular mail. If they can find it. Sometimes takes 2 days in line. And their bad attitudes are awful you can easily tell Kara and Kyle are the worst, they hate their jobs and the customers they "help".

My mail gets lost for half of my packages. If you try to call they leave the phone off the hook so all you get is a busy tone all day. I'm missing about $600 worth of lost packages cause they keep delivering to wrong addresses.
