“My husband and I did an alcohol ink art class with Andrea and it was so fun! She guided us through every step and introduced us to techniques to express our creativity and practice a new to us medium. She modeled through example which was very helpful in learning. It was very enjoyable and we look forward to the next class!”
“Beautiful photography by local artist. The owner is always gracious with conversation about local history and Alaska. I always try to visit when I'm in Fox. Just follow the signs to the gift shop.”
“Nice option to have downtown Reasonable prices for what it is, and Super friendly owners.
Also, the guard-pup, LJ, is what keeps me coming back. He's too cute!”
“The items in the shop and online are so rare and things you can find for anyone in your family souvenirs, knickknacks, t-shirts, alaskan made signs, antiques and so much more. What's even better is the owners are such wonderful, outgoing people that talking to them and learning about the history of the business makes the store that much more valuable and unique and their hearts are in it. Take a walk into their store,, especially tourists or anyone looking to send Alaskan gifts to family in the states! You won't regret it ?”
“The location isn't great and the exterior could use a little sprucing up, but otherwise this place is awesome. My family lives coming in and has always been able to find what they needed. The staff is helpful and kind. I'm always happy to support a local business that is invested in the community.”
“Well, this time we went to a store in the city center to buy our gifts or little souvenirs to take back to our destination city. We went to a super spectacular store that we absolutely loved; it had a huge variety of things, so many items you could buy, but the most important thing was the service from the people there – they were super warm and friendly. And after we finished our shopping, they gave us a wine opener as a gift. Thank you so much for the great service, just like all the people here in Alaska!”
“What a great store. It was very enjoyable to watch the bowls being made. We purchased a few authentic Ulu knives. It was nice to be able to get some made in Alaska instead of overseas.”
“They have a variety of things, beautiful glassware, women's accessories, unique rings earrings and necklaces. Compression stockings, music globes and boxes, and lots of other things. The store and people are super nice and looking around in the store is a lovely experience.”
“I've been to Fairbanks more than a dozen times, and I always end up buying various things to kill time before boarding. These are souvenirs from Alaska, but most of them are made in China. There is a picture of Made in Alaska in the back left corner. It's expensive, but it will be a lifetime memory, so why not choose one made in Native Alaska?”
“Quite the variety of gifts and truly unique hand crafted, one of a kind, souvenirs. A must stop even if just for the museum like items (mammoth, polar bear, whale, gems, etc)”
“Joe is an exceptional fur grader and furbuyer. Knowing your business and being fair to customers is paramount to having a successful business. Alaska Raw Fur is just that.”
“I needed a palm scale for running calcium chloride tests. The staff was bustling! Yet.. stopped to greet me, answer my questions and direct me to the assortment of scales. Price point was comparable to online pricing, but LOCAL! Love local! I appreciate, this business very much !”
“This is a truly Alaskan shop by a true Alaskan family. Even the 23 year old cat is is rugged Alaskan! Any adult will feel like a kid in a toy store. The store has exclusively local Alaskan made products from soaps to saws. The shop is where they do all the jewelry blade work wood and custom jobs. Very fun.”
