Just a fun little PSA if you’d like to go to the least professional AND least competent repair shop in town, check out H&H Service Center.I was feeling like I had a time crunch to get my vehicle winterized before the weather started to drop, and I made the mistake of taking my brand new vehicle there. Dropped it off 11/7 at 8am, and 11/8 I received a call that it’ll be the higher end of my price quote - okay, fine - but the bad news is that they broke my exhaust manifold bolts in the process and will have to wait to get repair parts on Monday and I won’t be able to drive it until then. Obviously that’s irritating, but what can you do if your car is inoperable, right? Well I did some digging and calling around and found out that that is absolutely not a normal or regular happenstance during winterizations. So Monday rolls around, no contact. Tuesday, no contact. So I called them around 2pm, Tuesday 11/14, and ask where my car is. He told me they’re running out the door to get the parts right now and my car will be done and he’ll call by 4, 4:30 at the latest. 4:35 rolls around and I’ve still heard nothing. I’m paying Ubers and getting rides to take me from North Pole to Fairbanks every day, both ways, to work during this. I think the least they can do is communicate, but I digress. He told me they didn’t get the nuts they needed with the bolts. So I tell him, “You’re really putting me out here. I need my car to be ready and a manager present first thing tomorrow.” So I show up today, 8am 11/15, and lo and behold my car isn’t done. For an hour I sit there waiting to speak to the manager since I’ve already arranged a ride to town on my *only* day off specifically for this, reception is going to the back every few minutes and coming back up front to tell me he’s still busy and not coming up, etc. Finally I have to leave for an appointment and I told him, again, “I know this isn’t your fault, but this has been an absolutely terrible experience.”So I finally get the call my car is done and the manager is in and get the chance to talk to him at 4pm today. He has the gall to stare at me and ask what I need to talk to him about, to which I simply say the entire situation with my vehicle, more dumbfounded staring, I explain that they broke the exhaust manifold bolts off a car with less than 2k miles, he tries to say it happens, I tell him that’s funny since I’ve talked to multiple shops and they disagreed, then he tells me my *studs* were rusted (a change in verbiage that I noted). I’d like to know how a car with less than 6wks on the road up here is rusted, honestly. So now it sits, waiting to be inspected by the dealership, who literally opened the hood and immediately saw things that would need to be redone.

They are the only place now in town for RV repair etc.. Great staff. Frank was so helpful! We needed some roofing for our trailer we are repairing, and they were more than happy to order whatever we needed. Nice to have such an attentive place!!

I was very pleased with the service I received at H&H, from Frank at the desk and Jeremy, our mechanic. Of special note, I did have issue with an item I thought needed attention. I was most pleased with how quickly and thoroughly they addressed the issue. That’s integrity!Service: Steering & suspension repair

The good news, they were able to diagnose 2 issues we were having with our RV propane system! The bad news, they did not have the part to fix it. Thank you for getting us in on short notice while traveling through.

They quoted us 300 last fall to remove the most basic intoxalock. Now that it can be removed, they paused and said 450 dollars. Well, another shop says the removal charge is 133!!! Talk to the DMV to get more info on the shop you choose

First off lady got my whole number wrong , address and everything. So I had to call her and find out of any updates. Service with car idk I spent over 2000 $ and car was the same. And they wanted over 10,000 for other fixes which I'm cool on that. We ended up getting new car?

H & H saved my RV trip of a lifetime to Alaska. Called in the morning with a black tank issue & was told to come right over. Pulled in & they began working on my black tank issue within 10 minutes! Left three hours later & much happier! Hands down one of the best service experiences of my life. Highly recommend. Thanks again H&H!

Brought my car in for an exhaust leak several months ago. Ran rough right when I got it back, so I pulled back in & got a shrug. Leak I brought it in for not fixed, but they fixed a leak in a different place. They said some front and rear bulbs needed to be replaced and unfortunately I approved it over the phone and didn't ask the price. $156 to replace two front bulbs, $128 to replace one rear one. I questioned the high charge and was told the entire front and rear ends had to be taken off to replace the bulbs. Not true - older car and just required a few screws )I've done these myself easily). I asked them to test the coolant temp (not change it) and they did a coolant flush and charged $234. I brought the car back in again 3 more times for original exhaust leak and the car running rough. I finally looked at engine myself and there was a spark plug wire disconnected. They blamed it on the battery being loose (it was loose because they didn't secure it after changing the bulbs) and the battery would have pushed against the plug not pulled it out. Nice enough people, but instead of considering if they had caused a problem, they automatically denied responsibility, not to mention way overcharging. Because I drove it so long without noticing the plug wire, I burned a valve and ended up selling the car for $500 to a mechanic who could fix it himself. They never did repair the original leak I brought it in for, just shrugged and said that leak wasn't important (so why didn't they say that the 1st time?). I will never bring a vehicle to them again.

Arrived in Fairbanks and noticed oil leak on rear tire of motorhome. Heard horror stories about trying to get timely repairs to MH in Alaska. Called at opening and explained our situation. They got us in immediately, diagnosed the issue and fixed axle seal leak for a reasonable charge. We were back in our RV park later that day. Very thankful for their help.Service: General repairs & maintenance

These guys saved my vacation. I came limping into Fairbanks in a MH with broken brakes and a squealing differential. They jumped straight into diagnosing, ordering parts, and scheduling the work. Five days later I was back on the road. If there is anything wrong with your Class A, B, or C take it here. These guys are good and have the equipment & knowledge to handle any repair.

Best customer service! Fair shop prices and the job was done in a very reasonable amount of time. The tech took time to explain what was wrong with my vehicle and gave me adequate information to make a comfortable decision about services that need to be done.

Had a great experience at H&H. We brought our RV to them after not being able to even get a callback from other RV mobile services. Everyone was super friendly and knowledgeable. They facilitated the process with the warranty company, sourced all of the necessary parts, and excuted the repairs. We are very happy with our experience and would recommend to others.Service: General repairs & maintenance
