“Our trip was amazing! We came Oct 3rd. It was snowy and over cast so no aurora borealis lights BUT the bed & sheets as well as pillows were so comfortable, the rooms are warm with heaters, the view of the mountains and snow is INCREDIBLE, and Mok the host is amazing! We arrived around 12:30am- and he had other guests in the lodge waiting for the auroras. He helped us get packed into our room and said we could join in the main lodge so we did! We sat with others looking and waiting. He provides cookies and tea and coffee and warmth! A truly unforgettable experience! We will definitely be back! Make sure you have an AWD vehicle if you are
Coming during snow season!”

“Best place to see the Aurora Borealis. Just got here yesterday and already had my dream come true. Kory is amazing. He made booking the lodge and the car seamless. Would definitely send all my friends here ❤️ and would totally return.”

“We met a tour here and ate here the next day. Food was wonderful

Food and drinks: The food, chowder, halibut, peanut butter pie and drinks were great. We sat in the bar to watch a ball game, but the view was great from the resturant”

“The customer service went above our expectations! We arrived late and had a rough trip. The night clerk was very helpful.
In the morning the breakfast was fresh and hit the spot. Everything was clean and the room was very comfortable.

Rooms: The room was clean and we were very comfortable.”

“The mattress was extremely comfortable. We thought we were getting a suite, bedroom separate from livingroom, based off of pictures on the website, but that was not what we got. It was spacious, things looked fairly new and well kept. It's weird that the carpet seemed loose, as in not glued or tacked down. The people working the front desk were all very nice. The little store was nice to have. The laundry room was a true blessing.”

“Springhill Suites was a busy hotel! It was right across the street from the Chena River Cabin. Short walk to the Visitor’s Center and Museum. If you went out the hotel’s back door, you were on Second Street where there were quaint shops and a few bars and restaurants. The hotel provided guests with a nice free hot breakfast. The hotel also provided guests with free shuttle service to and from the airport. The staff were very helpful. For how busy as the hotel was, it was very quiet. We definitely would stay there again!

Rooms: The room was quite spacious!

Nearby activities: The Chena Cabin and waterfront monument was right out the front door. The river walk was nice. There were some homeless people in the area but they did not bother anyone.
The Visitor’s Center and Museum were within walking distance. They offered a variety of movies throughout the day. We went there several times. The staff was very helpful! The Ice Museum was within walking distance. It was kind of pricey. We were in and out in less than 30-minutes. Big Daddy’s BBQ was close by.

Safety: I felt safe in Fairbanks, but I tried to be aware of my surroundings at all times. I would not recommend walking at night by yourself.

Noteworthy details: We took an Uber to the car museum. It took about 30 minutes for an Uber show up.”

“We stayed here for 2 nights as part of a Royal Caribbean cruise package.
The place is nice, the suites include a bedroom, living room and full kitchen. Ours was spacious, clean and roomy and the staff is very friendly.
The biggest negative is that the food is obscenely expensive, by any standard, for very average food. The breakfast buffet is almost $30/person and it's just breakfast food...there is nothing extraordinary; no champagne, roast beef, salmon, omelette station, waffles, etc. You can choose from eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, biscuits and gravy, or cereal and pastry for almost $30/person (I think it is actually $28). It would be a hard pass for me had i known in advance.
The other negative is the location is not great, it's safe and quiet but it's not near anything interesting. However, there is a Safeway grocery store nearby so you can grab some groceries to cook in the kitchen in your room and avoid paying at the restaurant.
Another negative, you only get room service every 4 days, so save those towels! However, you can get fresh towels at the front desk”

“Staff friendly, check in was quick, pick up from airport quick and easy. Breakfast very nice. Only problem was cleaners only do room every second day but apparently do not make the bed. I know I can make it myself but this is the first hotel I have been to that when the room is serviced the bed is not made. We always try to stay at Hampton Inn when holidaying in the states so I hope this is not a new policy.

Rooms: They don't make the beds when they service the rooms.

Safety: Felt safe, quiet area.

Food and drinks: Plenty of fast food options. The Japanese restaurant at the shopping precinct is spot on perfect.”

“My arrival time was supposed to come in at midnight but it came in at 230 am. After receiving my check in luggage, I called the front desk for a pick up. It took a few calls but I got through. They instructed me to go to the far left of the airport to exit and a white vehicle will pick us up. Waited about 10-15 mins. The hotel was like 5 mins away. Anytime I needed something from the front desk… they either had it or had an idea on how to get it. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was always hot and ready. We normally woke up around 8-830 am and the dinning area was stocked with food. The waffle maker was a big hit. So wake up early or you will miss out. Unless you like banana flavored waffles. Nothing bad about banana flavored waffles. Just tasted different from the original waffle batter.

Rooms: The room and rest room was clean and clutter free.

Nearby activities: It was really close to town. However I’m Nov there was snow. So driving slow was the key”

“The rooms are great - only ding is for having an iron but no ironing board, but that's not the end of the world. The rooms are also a little noisy - walls including above and below seem very thin and I can hear a lot of adjacent nose. The staff is great - they're on the ball and are super friendly. Zero issues there. The location is a toss up - there's a lot of big box stores close by, but not a lot of restaurants. It would be good if it were more centrally located, but if it was you'd be getting robbed by the homeless folks. This is kind of out on the edge of town, but over time the area will fill in with more stuff. The restaurant and bar at the hotel are ok, but they're convenient if you get snowed in unexpectedly - which happens. Didn't stay at a restaurant in Fairbanks that doesn't have an in house place to eat. Overall pretty good - I'm not a Hyatt loyalty person but I'd still consider staying here again.”

“I have traveled for work for more than 20 years. It has been a ling time since I stayed at a property that was this clean, well managed, everything in working order, and excellent oversight. The staff are very attentive to guest needs. The rooms were extremely clean and everything was in good working order. The general manager, Robert even checked in to make sure my stay was going well! Kudos to the team at ESA-Fairbanks AK!!!”

“We loved this place! It was like stepping back in time. A very homey and peaceful place. Quiet no traffic noise. Inn keepers were very friendly and directed us on the best time and place for the aurora. Highly recommend, clean, quiet and friendly staff. It's not the Ritz with glitz and glam, it's a down home country feel with peace and quiet. Close to many restaurants, and not far from North Pole Alaska.”

“Nice little gem right in downtown Fairbanks. Good prices, clean rooms, and it's a short walk to local bars and dining options. I will stay there again, next time I'm in Fbx, which is often.”
