“A Taste of Alaska Lodge is such a great place, especially if you're in Fairbanks to see the northern lights! It's ideally located away from light pollution, but close enough to local shops and restaurants so that grabbing some necessities isn't a trek. Breakfast is provided every morning and we loved chatting with the friendly owners. Fairbanks is so beautiful and the lodge is a great place to truly appreciate its beauty. Every time we returned from our excursions, we'd be struck by the view from the parking lot. We had too much cloud cover during our stay to catch the aurora, but A Taste of Alaska Lodge is worth a return trip!”

“Ok so, this place doesn't look like much... Standard motel rooms...BUT where this spot maybe lacking on a visual element it over compensates with 1st class hospitality!!!! The breakfast is actually similar to a home2suites little breakfast sandwichs coffee and more. My flight was not till after check out by 6 hrs and they still provided a ride to the airport. They allowed me to extend my check out so that I would not be roaming the streets for hours and they offered to hold my stuff while I went out. I know this all sounds normal but they took it too the max latest check out I have ever had and I am a diamond member at Hilton .....so I was actually impressed by how far this small mom and pop shop was willing to go to match the vibe. “Loved that : 1. It’s Clean! 2. Free and quite good coffee in the main area 3 staff is friendly and helpful 4. They check your id for packages! 5. The kitchenette has a full refrigerator and full microwave 6. Costco and Walmart are nearby 7. You can plug in your car to prevent freezing 8. Water is HOT 9. Cold tap water tastes good 10. Beds have a selection of pillows from soft to firmer ones. And lots of pillows available 11. Shower actually has enough flow to wash my hair 12. Full bottles of shampoo conditioner lotion hand soap and body wash!!! And it’s the nice dove brand! 13. Free laundry 14. Not over priced little necessities in the mini store! 15. Airport shuttle 10/10 I would stay here again”

“I had a very nice visit! The best part was the complimentary shuttle from the airport. The person who drove the shuttle was apparently the manager and she was great! Despite being very busy she found the time to take care of my need for a ride. She really made my visit memorable. I will be back!”

“Rooms have nice amenities. There’s lots of room to move around given their suite layout. Location is very close to the airport. Front desk staff is not remotely friendly. I’ve had great service everywhere in Alaska since I got here, but the two ladies at the front desk shouldn’t be in customer service positions. One just grunted at me every time I dealt with her. The other one was disgusted with my request for change, then threw the money at me. Other staff members were friendlier, but maybe it’s because it’s the end of the season here in Alaska. Maybe everyone is just tired.”

“The staff borrow me charging cable since I left mine at the airport rental parking space. Staff are so friendly and the room is clean. Food are awesome. Sound insulation are not pretty good, especially when others walking on the hallway in midnight for arura.”

“My family and I had truly the best experience while we were at Abbey archway in, it was the three of us staying in one room and they had anything you could have needed. The sink had a dish drain, soap, and rag for cleaning up the pots, pans, baking trays, cups, bowls, etc. from a mounted TV to a nearly overstocked towel rack this place had it all. The building we were in was next to 2 different pop up coffee shops and a Circle K so we had great options for snacks/coffee and the store wasn't overpriced either, we were even within walking distance of the colleges botanical garden and museum which was so much fun! I couldn't recommend this place more , the flowers we were told are tended to by the wife of the owner and she does an amazing job of keeping pretty blooms and butterflies all around. The staff were kind, peaceful, and the building in truly lovely condition as well. Thank you for an amazing stay! We stayed a few weeks ago I just hadn't posted my review.”

“We were here as part of our cruise package. Very nice hotel and we had a beautiful room at the end of the hall. Front desk very helpful with navigating ourselves to downtown Fairbanks and over to North Pole. Our server at dinner was very personable as well as doing his job well! Great experience!”

“This hotel is quirky and fun. They were able to get all six of us in a large suite and everyone could sleep in a bed. Staff is friendly they waited for us until midnight when we arrived. And, the breakfast is better than the average hotel continental breakfast. The egg casserole with mushrooms and sausage was delicious.”
