We had to put down our best friend of 15 years. Talk about rip your heart out. He outlived half our family. I couldn't have asked for a gentler more professional loving place to put him down at than this beautiful building. RIP cujo maddog curtiss the camping fool. You my bestie for life. Thank you Mt Mckinley for your grace during that time.

Great customer service! They got my appointment scheduled quickly and was seen right away. I have gone to this clinic for all three of my cats for about three years now. The veterinarians have answered all of my questions and I have no complaints. I recommend this clinic to anyone in the Fairbanks area.

I was surprised to learn that if you have not been seen in three years, you are required to put down almost $80.00 for a deposit. (I have been out of town so my cat hasn’t been seen in a while. He was seen elsewhere) It wouldn’t have been so irritating if the girl on the phone hadn’t made me feel as though my intent is to not pay or not show up. Not too mention how she spoke of all the people who “no show.” I guess they expect us to trust them with our pets, but they don’t trust you to pay your bill.I called a few other clinics to inquire if this was the standard and I assure you it is not.I guess they just assume we are all dirt bags who don’t pay their bills. It doesn’t give me a lot of confidence in them if they think so little of us.

I don’t want this review to negatively reflect on the vet, I never heard one bad thing uttered from her and she seemed to be very compassionate. My problem was with reception, or someone else relaying information to a vet. Our dog of 13 years had a very sudden decline, and while we tried to get in with our normal vet, the best they could offer was Wednesday and our baby had black/bloody diarrhea. In fear that he was suffering we reached out to mt. McKinley to see if they had availability and explained what was happening with our dog. They agreed it sounded like an emergency and told us to come, and we agreed to pay whatever because he’s our baby. Payment was never a problem for us. When we got there they put us in a room, and this is where my complaint comes in. The walls are paper thin, and we could hear reception relaying information to the vet. This person relaying information was about someone else calling in over an emergency and being referred to mt. McKinley because their emergency payment is cheaper than their current vet. The woman relaying this information was using a very annoyed voice. I think it’s important to know that not everyone can afford everything, and having empathy for someone that was just trying to do their best for their animal goes a long way. It also made me feel uncomfortable because I was there for an emergency visit and instantly felt like I was a burden. Then I actually heard someone relaying information about myself and another emergency that came in. It sounded like they were trying to figure out who to see next based on who sounded worse, which I completely understand. What I don’t appreciate is that this person said that I was saying my dog was an emergency visit when he wasn’t because all of his vitals and his personality to her seemed normal. She sounded very annoyed by our being there, like we were wasting everyone’s time. One, I am not a vet. I don’t know what his vitals are, all I know is that my dog is pooping straight blood. Two, you don’t know anything about my dog. I noticed a decline and did what I was suppose to do, which was get him help. They chose the other client because she had driven further out, not because she had an animal worse off then me. Turns out my dog had a bleeding tumor in his body and we had to put him down because he wasn’t going to get better. Hearing all of that was disgusting and made me want to leave. If I didn’t have a feeling my dog was very bad off I would have left. Mt. Mckinley, your staff blatantly spoke ill of people calling in for help, and people that were already getting help(myself). Please train them to be better.

Dont go to this place charged us almost $200 to look at a guinea pig, and it died on its own less than 30 minutes of being there. They did nothing but look at it. I don't mind paying a fair price, but this was nothing but a money grab.
