“even though we have gone to Homer for memorial day weekend for 10 years now this was our first visit. boy have we been missing out. huge selection of wonderful prints. it's another must see for coming years.”
“This artist co op had a great selection of high quality work. There was much to tempt us in the leather goods, those marvelous brooms, and original painted silk.
But we are bringing home a beautiful carved piece of pottery we are going to use to hold cooking utensils.”
“Nice sunny gallery with a variety of local artwork on display. We were impressed with the creativity and variety. It's a good companion stop with the collective next door.”
“We loved our brief visit to the Bunnell Street Arts Center!
The gallery space was beautiful, and we were fortunate to catch landscape painter Steve Gordon's exhibit on display. The back of the gallery is a dedicated gift shop featuring a wide variety of work (handmade jewelry, pottery, paintings, prints, wood bowls, and more) by local artists.
The Bunnell Street Arts Center is absolutely a must-see destination for locals and visitors alike. Bonus: you don't have to drive all the way out the spit to find locally handcrafted wares and artwork!”
“My wife and I visited home last week for a few days at the end of a 1200 mile road trip through Alaska. We did not actively shop our way through the state but did look here and there for something special. There were very few items that interested us until we got to the Homer Spit shops which offer a lot of quality items for tourists to pick from. In particular, Inua was outstanding. The shop has an enormous selection of high quality items to choose from and the young saleswoman was outstandingly personable, helpful, and knowledgeable. The most significant item that we bought was a carved whale , and the shop owner made a point of coming in to the shop to wrap it for travel. It was carefully wrapped and made it home where it is now on display .”
“Definitely off the beaten path! Follow your GPS to this beautiful spot & enjoy the one of a kind gallery of metal & wood art. The building itself is artistic, as are all the buildings surrounding the gallery. In the summer you can get a full tour of these old European/Hobbit places. The galley is full of unique pieces, worth the drive & time to tour.”
